After having money down at 2 dealers who were not certain their allocation would make it to #2 or #3 on their list, I hit the Jackpot today. I printed all dealers names and  addresses in the state over the weekend and started calling this morning. After about 15 polite rejections the owner of a small dealer 175 miles away said his GT500 was not spoken for. After a brief price discussion he took my order for a Shelby Coupe, Grabber Orange with White, Shaker 1000, and Interior Upgrade. Within an hour I wired him a $10K deposit for good faith and feel I am FINALLY locked in. I never felt secure waiting all summer being number 2 and number 3 although the price was a little better.
There are still some openings out there!!!! Don't give up, keep trying if you are not locked in. This owner knew the program, was certified, and committed in writing his first delivery belongs to me!  :happy feet:

Congrats...

I am # 2 on my dealers list, but he is still asking $15K over MSRP...

How did you find all the Ford listings in your state?  Is there a simple search method I can use to do the same?

My #2 Order is also Grabber Orange w/White Stripes...

Congrats, subguns.  That's exactly how I got mine.  Started contacting every dealer in Colordao until I found a small dealer out in the sticks that hadn't even started a list.  :happy feet:  and only $2K over MSRP  :cheerleader:

It's better than a new child. You don't have to hear it cry. Only the squealing of tires and the rumble of the exaust.

I did not want to screw around with the luck I had with my ex dealer and wanted bad to be #1 on someone's list. He asked if I would give $10k over MSRP and I bit. I felt like time was running out. I have another one with money on it at $5K over but it may be 2008 before they get to me. It will be worth every penny to pull it through ex dealers lot on my Rollback trailer pulled by a new 6.0 F-350 I did not buy from them.
On another note, 2 other dealers called me yesterday offering me their #2 cars. I had left my name in person with at least 10 other dealers in the 5 state territory I travel. They were also asking $10K over.
The trick is keep your name in front of them in person if possible. I always refused to talk to a salesperson and asked for the General Manager or Owner first then the new car Sales Manager last.

I did a Google search for "Arkansas Ford Dealers" and got a hit that listed them all. To save paper I had to copy / paste them to a Word Doc to build the list and leave out all of the ads and other junk. I attached it below along with Louisiana dealers I never got around to calling.

Will get at MSRP only otherwise there is a Z-06 out there and those have been out for a year in the new body style so I would expect better pricing and availability.

The Z-06 can be had for $75,000 to $85,000
The Shelby seems to be the more durable for everyday use of the two and I believe it has 5 mph bumpers?
