Oh my God.

What a difference. It's a different car - both looks and performance. Amazing.

What a great ride.

Life is - once again - good.

Bryan, done already?!! ...amazing! How cool is that. Yeah, I bet it's different ...can't wait for the pix.

Time to start checking stoplight times <lol>

Dork? That be me with an "attitude." :happy feet:

George is a good story. He went to the NASCAR tech school in Mooresville. He completed his training to build engines. He had a job offer from DEI Racing.

Then - he came home and gave it some thought.

He got married 2 years ago after an 8 year relationship. They plan on having a couple of kids. He's looking to buy a house.

They talked about the lifestyle of a NASCAR crew member. Long hours - travel - etc.

George decided to stay here and make his family his priority.

Good form.

And - now I've got a crew chief!

He's good Ford people. (except he keeps trying to perusade me to go ahead and buy the Roush Blower!).

Thanks, George. You're a craftsman.

Bryan.. she's looking really sweet! The wheels are really sharp -- and the grille and Bassani's look great! You picked really nice parts, my friend.

Hey, now, did you paint your Z blue ...or is that your budy's? ;)

Does Ford send their master tech's to Toyota for training?!! That sway-bar's hangin' a bit low :poke:

You guys are like sharks!

George works for a Ford/Toyota store. (I know - strange)

Trust me, y'all wish he worked at your local Ford store.

Guess who's in charge of determining what's covered under warranty?....

Oh, yeah.

Edit: 90GT - I've got some minor cosmetic things to do - sequential tail lights (came today) - some chrome trim around the tail lights (not here yet) WeatherTech mats (came today) - and perhaps FI - still not sure about how or which one. Probably Roush.

The chrome trim around the tail lights will really look good on a black car. You will love the WeatherTech mats too, I have them in my truck and they are awesome!!!

How does the chrome light trim apply? Is it alchy-wipe adhesive? or mounted under the edge of the light somehow?

Most I've seen are attached with 3M adhesive. I guess one would peel the backing off and press it on.

To me the chrome tail light bezels look out of place on the S197. It's probably just me though. On the 67s, now thats a different story. I think it has something to do with the fact those cars were all steel and had a lot of other chrome pieces. It just doesn't fit on these cars...at least mine.

Glad to see you are getting your car the way you like it RUF. That's what makes the world go round...different looking stangs!

+1 - if we had our cars the same it would be kinda boring.

FI - Forced Induction.

I'll post some pics of the rear lights when I get them done.

I'm going to talk to the striping guy this afternoon and see what he can do for me.

Edit: I put the hydraulic hood lifts on, too. They work well and look good (stainless).

Bryan, two totally off-topic questions: Did you buy one of your earlier Mustangs from Marvin Streat at Bill Talley Ford in Richmond? And does your tech George know Richie Ohlhorst? He was a trainer at the NASCAR facility in Mooresville, NC. Just curious...

BTW, I like seeing your cars progress.

Thanks, Rob - I've had a lot of fun deciding on changes (within a budget).

Celtic - I'll ask him. I dealt with Brad VanSturn (not sure about his last name) at Talley.

Oh, okay. I never heard of him. I was going to tell you that Marvin was one of the coolest sales people I've ever met. Total enthusiast, knowledgeable and very helpful. I ended up going to see Aaron Mason at Sheehy for my '05, only because they had a good allocation at the time. Aaron was just as cool though. He called me to come down to the dealer when my '05 arrived and hid the keys from the PDI guy before he could take the plastic off the car. He knew I wanted to see it "virgin" off the trailer!

If George knows Richie, I hope they got along. Richie's a good sort. He's an electrical wizard.

George said he knows Richie.

The guys at our welding program at the College are going to custom fabricate a stainless grille that matches the Cervini - for the lower fascia opening for me. They'll leave room on both sides for some rectangular fog lamps! I think it will look very good.

There are 3 Mustang guys in that program. One has an '03 Cobra that rattles windows when it drives past! When they came out to see my car, one says, "Man, that thing is the Sh*t!" I presume that's a compliment...

I just finished the install on Webelectric's sequential turn signals.

Took me about a half-hour (I've got a sore left hand and took a little extra time so I wouldn't drop any parts "down below.").

Very easy install. They work great. Very - very cool looking!

Reminds me of the '66-7 T-Birds!

And - now all 3 bulbs light up - not just the two outboard.

They allow you a $40 rebate if you send them the OEM wiring harnesses. They even supply an addressed box to send them back in. Good Form!

Good Form!

So did you have to cut the factory harness or was it a plug and play set up???

Unplug the bulbs - unsnap the harness connection - and plug in the bulbs! I only wish I could ride behind my car to see the bulbs blinking!

It's okay - I'll be visiting Orf in a few weeks on the Banks and plan on evening up the score.
