I'm really po'd and I think it's ridiculous that the all-star race is only on speed TV tonight...which I don't get.

Speed channel seems to be going away on Aug 17 and changing to Fox 1 Sports channel. I don't know what shows are going to survive. Rumor has it a few are already moving to Velocity channel.

Does anyone understand what happened with the final 5th segment / pit realignment. I thought they were going to rearrange the cars by the average finish of the first four segments. Speed put up a stats box showing the unofficial top ten and most of the drivers were not even close to that prior to the mandatory 4 tire change pit prior to the 5th segment start. It seemed really out of sorts!!!

I read this morning that Speed TV guys did the math wrong re finishing order and averages. Johnson's crew had it right (as I guess the Nascar officials did also), so it caused some confusion.

TV graphic mistake leads to fan confusion: A television graphic incorrectly showed #48-Jimmie Johnson should have entered pit road 11th instead of fourth on the mandatory four-tire stop before the final segment of Saturday night's Sprint All-Star Race. It started a social media outcry for those who didn't know the facts. It grew louder when Johnson left pit road second. It grew even louder when the five-time Sprint Cup champion won for the second straight year and a record fourth time overall, breaking a tie with Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt and future Hall of Famer Jeff Gordon. "People just want to hate," Johnson said with a laugh inside the media center at Charlotte Motor Speedway. "That's fine. I'm just lucky. NASCAR rigs the races and whatever they want to believe. I'm going home with a cool trophy and a big check and we all really know what happened. So whatever."(ESPN)
