I was wondering if anybody knew where to hear sound clips for different exhausts. My GT500 has just the CAI kit with tune and I was looking for a loud, deep sound not too much drone if at all (but I will sacrifice alittle) I had a b&b bullet system on my corvette and a slp loud mouth with headers on my camaro ss. I also am looking for nice looking tips. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I put on the slp loudmouth, I think it sounds good. Not to loud normal driving and pretty good rumble at wot. As for drone, there is a tad but not very bad at all and has some popping on decal. The chrome tips look very good also.

I have the Magnaflow axle back and it has a nice deep mellow tone to it - not really all that loud, just sounds "good", and the 4" tips look great!

You'll get as many answers for this question as there are exhaust systems available. Someone is going to like each and every one of them. It is a personal taste thing. Sound clips will not accurately tell you how they will sound.

I have the Corsa axle backs. I think they sound perfect and have zero drone. I would not necessarily classify them as low rumble though. More of a crisp, tuned sound. So I would eliminate Corsa if you are looking for deep sound.

Very easy and cheap

Get the SLP Loud Mouths

They are a muffler delete kit, zero drone, great sound.

Take your stock mufflers and start it up, if you like the sound then order the SLPs like I did

You will not be disappointed.

Tips look good and put all the sound behind you, amazingly quiet on the inside, no drone.

Go with this or the KR Mufflers

IMO there are no other options. Trust me!

Oh, may I ask a quesiton for those with muffler deletes, SLPs in particular.

I am getting a fuel smell that I did not have before? I am assuming and I guess hoping its from the new exhaust. A leak?

Any one else notice this, only really smell it when I really get on the go pedal! ?

Have you done a soap test at the connections when it is idling ? I take it when you hit it a fuel smell enters the inside, which may be caused from a flange leak.

Welcome to Team Shelby!

I recommend going on YouTube and search for GT500 exhaust videos. There are many!

Also, some manufacturers have sound clips that you can check out first before you buy.

I've been researching this very topic for a month now, doing the same, searching for sound clips. I like the KR's and MAC mufflers best but after reading other forums, I found that the MACs have a great sound that everyone loves but have alot of drone. I haven't seen one complaint about the KR's sound but a few have commented negatively about it's looks. I am still undecided. I hear you, the car is way too quiet. My '05 Mustang GT sounded better! Good luck!

Flange? Meaning where the headers connect to the mid pipe?

My only exhaust mod is the SLP axle backs wich do not use mufflers

What is the soap test?

Sorry shouldn`t have used the term flange,I mean`t the clamps at the SLp`s
Just thought when give i to her the exhaust pressure goes up & the clamps at the Slp to the exhaust pipe are leaking. When the car is cold mixing dish soap with a little water & using a squirt bottle apply around the clamps & start it up should bubble if you have a leak but you have to do fairly quick as the exhaust will get to hot ..

The tips are 3.5 inches and look very nice. Sorry I don't have a close up of them on my car but you should be able to find some pics if you search the net. Here are some clips of my car with SLP loudmouths if you haven't ran across them yet. Enjoy!!!
