Battery goes dead?

What's up with my battery going dead within a week?

Are these batteries refillable?

I have been away from the car for two months ...no battery tender nor any starts during those months...i came back and fired her up and was as day one when i got her from the dealer...could be a bad batch of batteries!

Have it checked out at the dealer. Sounds like a bad battery.

ILL PUT MONEY ON IT BEING THE BATTERY ,REPLACED MINE YESTERDAY,EVEN HAVE THE BATTERY MINDER :lurk: :lurk:

I also just had a gauge kit installed and wondering if I have a short somewhere.

There was a post on here not long ago about the same issue - guy checked his and it wasn't the maintenance free battery, had to be refilled with distilled water as the plates had become uncovered.

Just put mine in storage though and checked for the same thing but found out mine does intend have the mainenance free type. Maybe the type of battery you get depends on your local ie cold climate? :headscratch:

Mine went bad just before it left the dealership with 9 miles, they had to replace it.

13 weeks!!! That's neglect! I think I should take her into care for you. You can still visit of course.

I found that when I left the key in the ignition it went dead in a couple of days. Since I pull it out and drop it in the cup holder no problems.

If you lock your car the security alarm is activated, if you have in a garage leave unlocked it will help less draw on the battery , When I store mine I put a battery Tender on haven`t had a problem since.

we had a ton of bad batteries on the SGT project maybe 100 or so I think there was a tsb and alot of warranty replacements...
