I at first believed my car was subject to something squirrely with the EPAS, despite being made 8/20.  However, after verifying it had been flashed with the most recent firm/software, I eventually came to appreciate how much was owed to the nature of the tires - both the nature of their composition at various temperatures and the substantial width which makes them seem to ferret-out every road defect.

Once I became more comfortable and convinced that the steering behaved increasingly well as the tires warmed, particularly on well-kept surfaces, I realized it was more a trait than a defect - at least on my post-TSB car.

Does anyone know if this TSB update remains in the car if a custom tune is loaded at a later time??

I realize this thread has been stagnant for some time, but was hoping to understand if this was the case or not... Thanks for the info thus far!

They're entirely different systems governed by discrete programming.  Engine tunes pertain to the PCM (Powertrain Control Module)/ECU (Engine Control Unit) while steering response is part of the BCM (Body Control Module)/ECM (Electronics Control Module) ecosystems.

I know this thread is old but glad I found it. I've tracked my car a couple of times this year after buying it earlier this year and have experienced a strong shudder Under heavy braking coming into turn on the track. I thought it was a warped rotor or antilock, but i did not experience any pulse on regular street driving and the shudder or pulse was not as quick as antilock. Will have to take into the dealership this coming spring before tracking the car again to see if this fixes the issue.
