You'll need shims from the installation kit for the ring/pinion gear mesh spacing, a press to install the pinion bearing and a dial indicator to measure backlash. It can be done yourself but the parts are definitely not just bolt on & go. Best to find a reputable shop to do it.

Yeah, I'm gonna find someone to do it.

First random quote local place:  6 hr job = $520 ouch.
Ford:  5-6 hr job:  500-600 ouch.
Pinnacle Performance in Tulsa:  3-4 hour job $250.00.  Ding ding ding!
I'll also have to take advantage of the super duper laser guided balancer :-)

That is awesome!  Do you have a spreadsheet or calculator for that?  I still have 20"s but my tire is 295/35R20, only about  3 or 4 millimeters diff on height.  They are the very largest tires I can put on with my rims without fender rubbing on dips.

Wow...so I'll be pushing 100 mph at the top of 2nd :-)  Sweet!  Perhaps a tad more slipping of the clutch to get going in 1st, but I'm going to immensely enjoy not having to shift out of 1st 2 seconds after I take off, and hopefully my tires will not spin like they are on ice.  When you think about it, why not take out the human/clutch variable.  Calculate the perfect gear so that all you have to do is floor it (depends on particular set of tires of course).

It is an Excel spreedsheet I made up for a friend. You will need Microsoft Excel or Open Office to use it. I tried to post it as an attachment, but was not allowed.
Here is a link to the file. It's great for playing what if.

They just rounded up to 2.98 instead of 2.97 and this is the same as the 2011 GT500 . Isn't that what you drive corepuncher ? Your running a 296/35-20 so your diameter should be 28.13" with 740 revs per mile. You have down that you have dynoed your car - any chance of seeing what the torque and HP curves look like ? Snoopy49 - nice spreadsheet !

Wow so Ford has two documents that disagree by 0.01.  I'm going to sell my car over this.

Here is the chart.  Looks like my HP is 20-30 more than the stock 2013's...torque right there or maybe 5 lower.

OK Cool - Let's play . Let's just say 6000 RPM for redline and because I'm partial to the 3.27:1 rear end gears I'm going to use those and the 295/35-20 tires.

1st gear - take it to 6000 RPM = 51.7 MPH - shift to 2nd  ( RPM drops 2400 to 3600 RPMs)
2nd gear - take it to 6000 RPM=86.27 MPH - shift to 3rd (RPM drops 1620 to 4380 RPMs)
3rd gear - take it to 6000 RPM=118.12 MPH - shift to 4th (RPM drops 1385 to 4615 RPMs)
4th gear - take it to 6000 RPM=153.55 MPH - shift to 5th (RPM drops 1560 to 4440 RPMs) - Really if you are lucky to have a tail wind
5th gear - take it to 6000 RPM= 207.5 MPH - shift to 6th (if you think you can) (RPM drops1945 to 4055 RPMs) and if you want to chase after Van keep your foot on the gas. LOL
