Looking at the forecast for both Fort Worth and Albuquerque for Saturday and Sunday I've decided to head out on Monday vs. Sunday. We'll have storms locally on Sunday and looks like Albuquerque may get some snow Saturday night.

Of those taking 40 and headed out Monday, when do you expect to roll thru Amarillo?

It will probably be closer to 1 o'clock before we get into Amarillo from Tulsa. If you guys need to move on we understand.

Gregg, that is correct on arrival at Albuquerque.   I hope to depart from there to head to Vegas around 8am.  sound ok?

I usually like to depart ABQ around 6am...  However, how about we split the difference and call it 7am...

Probably take that long just to corral everyone, since there are guys coming from 3-4 different directions...

Maybe meet up with everyone else at the Casino on the far West edge of town...  You know the one with the Neon Arrows sticking into the ground...



Then depart from there at 8am...

I do know there are a couple of people who still want to try and make it all the way to LAX on Tuesday night...

I think with the Sunday rain I may leave AR for the 12-13 hour drive to Albuquerque later in the morning and arrive there around 7-8pm. We'll see! It would be great if people in Tulsa and Amarillo could post weather and road conditions early Monday AM. Anyone?

I'll plan to be in Amarillo between noon and 1pm. That has me leaving Fort Worth between 6 and 7am. Any idea on a place to meet in Amarillo?

Looks like the rain should clear out after midnight Sunday. Weather should be in the 50's and clear Monday morning.We can get another update tomorrow evening.  Do you still want to meet us in Sand Springs. I can check with the rest of the group and wait till 7am to leave if that will help.

Looks like it will take me 2.5 hrs to get to you so 7am would be a big help.

We are going to stay the night at the http://rt66casino.com/home on Monday night.   The rooms are 89.00 if anyone else is interested.  This is the meet up point that Gregg suggested above.  We will meet there at 8am to depart towards Vegas. Location is 20 or so miles west of Albuquerque, NM. on south side of road.  

Is this ok with everyone else?

Looks cool but I thought we were staying at the Red Roof (1635 Candelaria Blvd Albuquerque) that was mentioned earlier?   Well, no worries, I made a reservation there, $38, and think since I'll be in, sleep, and out, I'll stick with it.  Let me know when you're all getting back on the road Tuesday AM and I'll drive over to your hotel and meet up with you all!   Looking forward to it!
