Hello fellow enthusiast, we are proud to announce the TSGLR 1st event. We are a week ot from the event and wanted to post up one more time for some that may not know about it. The event is going to be help in partnership with the Mustang Club of Indianapolis at the Lucas oil Raceway Park which is the home of the legendary US Nationals drag racing. It will take place on June 29th, 30th, and July 1st. Here is a preliminary list of events that will be taking place for our fun filled weekend.

Friday 6/29/12

We certainly hope all of you can come and enjoy this first event with us. Not only will there be plenty of Shelby's there but the event is also open to any and all Mustangs too. For Team Shelby Members I ask that you fill in area that ask's for club affiliation to say Team Shelby so we can have a count of all TS members for future reference. Everything else will be together as MCI flyer shows.

TSGLR 1st Annual
Event
Hello fellow Team Shelby Members in addition to the events that are taking place in the Race To Indy weekend at Lucas Oil Raceway Park we would like to extend another invitation to Team Shelby members that will we attending on Friday June 29th. We have put together a pony run of sorts that is open to all Shelby Mustangs and members of Team Shelby. Here is the itinerary for that day.

Friday 6/29
Team Shelby members and persons with Shelby mustangs will meet at Lucas Oil Raceway Park at 2pm to kick off our welcoming bash. We will leave from Raceway park and proceed to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for tours of the museum and the historical grounds.

The museum tour will be $10 per person and the grounds tour will be $25 per person. The grounds tour will definitely be a highlight as it will take you on a tour bus around the track with stops at various points including the infamous Pagoda tower where all timing and scoring takes place for all races. Another stop will be winners circle for photo opportunities, and the onto the famous “Yard of Bricks” at the start/finish line.

We have made arrangements for parking during the tours, so no worries about leaving your Shelby in a general public parking area. We will also be having photo ops of Shelbys in front of the museum after tours.

Once tours have ended we will proceed Ricks Café Boathouse on Eagle Creek reservoir for our meet and greet dinner and a chance to mingle. This will be a pay your own tab event and will be from 6PM till ?.

After dinner for anyone wanting to go out for a cruise we can travel to downtown Indy and hit a couple of local cruise in spots.

Any reason we cannot take our cars on a slow speed parade lap around the 2.5 mile oval? We're all adults here.

I cannot imagine a bigger thrill than being able to say I drove a lap at INDY with my Shelby.

Frankly, this seem like a glaring omission for any 50th Anniversary celebration - Now more poignant with the passing of mr. Shelby.

Having a porfessional photographer take a picture of your car crossing over the "Yard of Bricks" would be nothing short of awesome.

Tim, Greg, make that happen. Please.

I am sorry I wish I could make it happen, unfortunately the cost is way to high for us to be able to do this right now. Just to be able to go around the track would cost us about 4500.00 plus the cost of us having a 1 million dollar insurance policy for TSGLR. Being this is our first event it is unclear how many cars are going to show and how to devide that cost among the ones that do. Maybe as our event grows and we can get more sponsorship for our event it may be an option in the future. Just remember Tulsa, and Shelbyfest started with only 6-10 cars in the beginning and look at what it has grown to. Hang in there with us and just remember that anything we do at this point comes out of ALL the TSGLR directors own pockets, we are making zero dollars for this event. Once it takes off and grows, who knows the sky is the limit.
