I had a 1966 GT K Model Fastback with an original 271 hp 289. The engine was getting a little tired so we swapped a reg 225 hp 289 at a "supposedly" a friends house/shop until we were to rebuild it in 2-3-4 months. One day I went out to just make sure all was OK and a guy in Tacoma Washington named The Drone came over and told the shop owner it was NOT a very desirable engine but he wanted it.this Drone guy is a Shelby lover and knew he was stealing it from me, he has no ethics. This shop owner sold it to I'm for $200 dollars. To this day I would love to see this guy and take him to lunch. So I know how it feels and it is not very good and it DOES last 30 years I can testify to that! Still.
