OMG. I could be a convert.  Especially with Cruise Control.   Cruise Control is the only thing that is not on the Ford GT that I wish I could somehow get.  It's really nice on a 800 mile drive to Vegas.

I will wait for the roadster version.  It should be sweet.
Cheers,
Tony

Nah...your modded Ford GT is a better car. Stick with it.

I really like what they've done with the Viper. Not usually a big Chrysler fan but give credit where credit is due. This looks great on the outside; a nice evolution from the previous generation, and based on the pics I've seen, the interior is a huge improvement. Having said that, given the choice, I would still take a Ford GT over this Viper.

No way am I getting rid of the GT.  The Viper would be an adder.  It might even have a trunk big enough to put a toothbrush in.  And maybe it won't melt :)

I just had an inspiration.  My wife is retiring from teaching (although she'd better not be retriing from working).  So I'll get her  Viper for her daily driver.  Too bad if it snows stay home.  Hmmm.  Do you think it will work?  It passes all the requirements:  A/C, a place to plug in an iPod, regular 3-point seat belts (not 6-point harnesses), etc.  Do you think it would work?

:yup: spy shots long ago show a test viper driting in the snow to test the traction control.

IPod can be hooked up. It also has cupholders!

As for seats, I am leaving you for that to decide. It does have a place to hook up the racing harness

From the article:

"In fact, the 2013 SRT Viper's 4.9 pounds per horsepower puts it just behind the Bugatti Veyron and Ferrari F12 and ahead of such performance stalwarts as the Lamborghini Aventador and Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. What's more, this engine has no turbocharger or supercharger, and those 600 lb-ft make this V10 the most torque-rich naturally aspirated production engine in the world."

http://www.autoblog.....racing-w-vide/

So it's 4.9 lb/hp.  Still a handful.

Fiat.  Some hodgepodge of Ferrari, Maserati and from the looks of it, Lancia.  I was hoping that the new one would get a Farrai based power plant.  Reality is this deisgn was well underway before Fiat got involved so a redesign to a European based platform will have to wait until the next major release.

Always liked the Viper but don't like the lower front facia on this one...Really I like the last gen Viper better than this

one...I do love the wheels on this one...Either way it's going to be a great performing car without dought.

According to the short twitter questioning with one of the workers at SRT, they surprisingly don't have one yet.

Amen!

Actually if you look at it from the side, it looks a bit kind of like a 599. I like it!
