Friday April 6th, 2012 - the first day for the NY auto show, and people from all over the NE region were there to see all the new cars.
The Shelby pavillion was a bee hive of people looking at the new Shelby 1000, 50th anniversary GT350, 50th anniversary GT500 Super Snake, GTS, and the first Cobra ever built, CSX 2000! The unveiling was done by Gary Patterson and John Keller.

Every Time I see the Pictures of those wheels on the 2013 GT500 I like them less than I did the first time and I hated them the first time I saw them.

Gary took much better pics on Friday than I did on Sat., but it sure
looked like a way bigger crew on that day. We probably had half that
number of TS volunteers. I did like the additional close ups of those gorgeous
1000 wheels. Best yet from SA. And talking to Andy and John can instantly
rev one up for Carlisle, where most of these cars will appear. Except of
course the Cobra.

Brag point: no stolen items on my watch. That's easier said than done, as the
display is right outside the left main entry... very hard to miss. So a lot of traffic
compared to last year.

I here ya on the stolen items, helped out in Detroit show we caught two people trying lift caps. I don1t understand these slim balls.

I was so busy wiping the drool off of the cars I didn't have time to take photos.    Shelby American has outdone themselves this time, I don't even know how they can "one-up" it next year.

Saturday was steady all day! I met a ton of TS members and their beautiful wives and girlfriends (not both at one time though LOL). Sam does a fantastic job keeping Gary and John in line and he is like a mother hen with "his" cars.

Funny story: we arrived at the booth at 9AM Saturday because those who know me understand how I have to plan everything to the minute. The line to enter for spectators was already a block long. I said I was with Shelby and they let us in right away. The SAI booth is actually in the lobby of the event so all those waiting inside in line were all over the covered cars (peeking under covers , etc...) I called for security and they gave me a guard for CSX2000 (Cobra #1) and Julie and I secured the booth. People were actually taking pictures of the covered cars at that point. It was wild!  Gary,Sam and John L arrived shortly and we uncovered the cars including CSX 2000. The only thing I can relate it to is halftime at a NFL game where a thousand flash bulbs go off at once.

Oh and yes all of the cars will be at Carlisle including the Shelby 1000. Should be an incredible parade!
