If by drool you mean Showtime detail spray, then yes I believe you.

Folks, if you haven't seen him in action, then you haven't seen detail
mania. The eagle part of his TS name must refer to how he can spot
a smudge from across a room. Gary P. had to call him off from starting
to work on the undercarriage of the cars.

All I know is that I'm keeping him far away from my car at Carlisle.

Would that include CSX2000????   Did you just let a "cat" (or should I say a "snake") out of the bag????

You can plead the 5th if you like so that John Keller doesn't fit you for a Team Shelby Ball Gag.

Tom,  Look there was dust on the undercarriage and brake dust on the back side of the rotors! Also the top side of the mufflers had micro-abrasions on it and needed buffed out. Hi, my name is Andy and I'm a clean-aholic. Seriously though you haven't lived until you've detailed a car with q-tips, a 0000 detail brush and dental floss.
The worst part of the show (if I could call it that) was my OCD with keeping 5 cars flawless and thousands of people leaving fingerprints. No worries though, I got some quality therapy time in with the KR suspension when I got home.

Bill, I have to plead the 5th on that one. we will just have to wait and see.  It was surreal uncovering a 25 million dollar car though.


Oh and just to squash ANY rumors or arguments right now: IF the S1000 is in the Carlisle parade then I am calling shotgun right now! Who is driving? Straight from John L's mouth : only Gary P drives it.

It was great meeting everyone and even with my mega-OCD I had a fantastic time.  The NYC auto show is a fantastic event for TS members and a great way to talk with Shelby VIPs.

Does anyone know if there are still volunteers needed? I was there last year, and volunteered this year and never heard back from aanyone on a schedule, etc...

Gus, my guess would be yes they still need help especialy during the night shift. Send Gary an email he checks them throughout the day while he's working the show.

Saturday was steady all day! I met a ton of TS members and their beautiful wives and girlfriends (not both at one time though LOL). Sam does a fantastic job keeping Gary and John in line and he is like a mother hen with "his" cars.

Funny story: we arrived at the booth at 9AM Saturday because those who know me understand how I have to plan everything to the minute. The line to enter for spectators was already a block long. I said I was with Shelby and they let us in right away. The SAI booth is actually in the lobby of the event so all those waiting inside in line were all over the covered cars (peeking under covers , etc...) I called for security and they gave me a guard for CSX2000 (Cobra #1) and Julie and I secured the booth. People were actually taking pictures of the covered cars at that point. It was wild!  Gary,Sam and John L arrived shortly and we uncovered the cars including CSX 2000. The only thing I can relate it to is halftime at a NFL game where a thousand flash bulbs go off at once.

Oh and yes all of the cars will be at Carlisle including the Shelby 1000. Should be an incredible parade!

Great story Andy!  I will be back this Saturday and look forward to another day.  I hope to see you there if you can make it again. I have to talk to you about the track event.

I went out to get a few photos of the Shelby Hauler. The first thing I saw was the police officer walking back to his patrol cart.  I asked if he could do me a favor and he obliged by posing for a photo of him giving Sam a ticket
When I got back in, I showed Sam the photos. He said "Ahh Man, not another ticket" LOL - Nah, just kidding... He started laughing and was so relieved we were just kidding.
