Wow I do not think i would mod a GT350 at all, just curious why didn't you buy it with the SC on it? To me the E-Force would kill the value of the car, but maybe you do not care.

Others make good points regarding modifying your GT350

But if you do go with the Edelbrock e-force install, it will be hard to wipe the smile off your face

Just a suggestion, but seriously consider keeping all the OEM take-off parts, labeled & safely stored, then the car may always be returned to it's original state if needed. This is what I have done with every mod along the way.

The auto was never offered with a supercharge as there was no rating for the transmission limits. Never saw the numbers posted anywhere. You might want to check what it will handle before you consider any mods.

A couple of thoughts: First off, you'll kill your warranty if you put the S/C on. You may also have trouble with smog issues depending on the state you live in. But if you do decide to go that route here's a mustang that was recently done for Barrett-Jackson. It's the only S/C auto that I've seen: http://www.westcoast...wynn-foundation

John

EDIT: I just saw your video...obviously state smog laws are not an issue for you!!! :hysterical:

Check out the May issue of Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords. Page 102, camming a N/A Coyote engine for 500+ hp.

That might be the way to go with a A/T car.

I don't think it's the engine you have to worry about. They supercharge the 5.0 on the Shelby GT350 and the Roush Stage 3 all the time.

It's the Auto Trans that keeps Shelby from supercharging them and if I recall correctly, Roush too.

It's pretty obvious that Warranty issues aren't a concern for you and if a A/T blows, it's costly for the *average* person but I don't know that that's a problem for you either.

The two vids you posted show single runs with a blown 5.0 A/T car so apparently, the transmission will hold up for at LEAST one run! <lol>

Have you tried the Mustang boards? Ask around to see if there are any 5.0 GT's running blowers and A/T's. This forum is pretty specific to Shelby so all you'll get here are GT350 owners...And there's a LOT more Mustang 5.0 GT's running around out there than there are GT350's.

some of you guys are ridiculous!!! Dude, its your car so do whatever you want to ENJOY it!! Who gives a rat's ass about the value because if you think the modern day Shelby's will ever carry the value of the vintage ones you're dreaming! You spent a lot of $$$$$$$ to buy it so whatever you think you need to enjoy it or make it better, go for it! Also, a few uninformed people maybe shouldn't reply to something they don't know as being a victim of a drunk driver long ago I can only drive automatics due to injuries from the accident so over the years I have driven many different Mustangs with just about every automatic tranny there is and the 5spd and 6spd automatics will easily handle the 500+hp. On my 08 GT/SC w/ Kenne Bell I have well over 500hp and ZERO issues on the 5spd automatic and I have raced the car and the 6spd auto is much better then the 5spd auto. Now days its more about the computer and the gear ratios so highly unlikely you will break it.

When ordering my 13 GT350 I chose not to supercharge it but I could have with the Kenne Bell. I have gotten a quote for adding the Paxton Novi to the GT350 by one of the best engine tuners and even they said no worries about the automatic

If you want it, go for it rather then listen to someone tell you how to enjoy your car

From Roush and Shelby, AT THE TIME.

Look at the date on that comment.  THAT was before Roush or anyone else had a supercharger available for the AT cars.

You should know your history before you make comments like you did in post #16 up above.

Thank You

39Mustang I was thinking that but was asking to be sure if I remember correctly the Kenne Bell is what Shelby was saying to go with on the 2007. However I was also looking at the Paxton. I just do not want to mess with the balance of the car. Did you notice a difference in the handling after the charger was installed ?

mlwetter,

My 2006 GT-H has a the Paxton installed at Shelby and I love it.  I also have the Aluminator engine, CNC Heads, Hot Rod Cams, 3500 stall, 4:10 rear gears and my auto is still all original and stock.  I'm sure it's my next weak link, but with well over 550hp, it's been fine so far.  I also drag race regularly in the summer.  However, if you have a 2007, the supercharger which is better for the 4.6 is not necessarily the one which works best on the newer 350's with the 5.0.  There are many threads on this site about the different superchargers on the Shelby GT's.  You should probably look through the Shelby GT section rather than the GT350 section.  You're 07 would not be comparable to the GT350's.  Many like the Whipple for the 4.6 engine, but there are guys with all different ones.  The E-force is good also, heck they are all pretty good.  The Ford Racing Whipple is probably the one which Shelby installed the most on the Shelby GT/SC's.

Here's a good current conversation about the Whipple vs. the Paxton on the 4.6 Shelby GT.  Transmission does not really matter.

Thank You

39Mustang I was thinking that but was asking to be sure if I remember correctly the Kenne Bell is what Shelby was saying to go with on the 2007. However I was also looking at the Paxton. I just do not want to mess with the balance of the car. Did you notice a difference in the handling after the charger was installed ?

the SC will not be effecting the handling of the car... its going to give you a lot more HP so keep that in mine when driving

From Roush and Shelby, AT THE TIME.

Look at the date on that comment.  THAT was before Roush or anyone else had a supercharger available for the AT cars.

You should know your history before you make comments like you did in post #16 up above.

Phill

they did from the beginning so I could care less about any date the statement was wrong

Does anyone know if a functional ram air hood can be used in conjunction with a supercharger ? On this 07 Shelby GT 350.

They didn't make GT350s in 2007.  But I suspect the hood they made for the 2012-2014 ones will fit.

No they didn't.

When the SC kits first came out for the 5.0's neither company (AND Ford Racing) offered them for the Auto Trans cars.

Read the entire thread and you'll see someone from Shelby saying the same thing.

Do you have pictures of your 07 Shelby?  There was no GT350 made in 07.
