Southern Plains Memorial information:

Where: North East Texas Community College

2866 FM 1735 Mount Pleasant, TX 75455

When: Wednesday, May 30, 2012 @ 5:30PM

Agenda: Carroll was a big supporter of the college, and specifically the technical college they have to train mechanics. The school has agreed to lend us their parking lot, their auditorium, and even refreshments for all attendees. We are working with SCAT on this event as well, and expect between 50 and 100 cars at this time. Our plan will be to meet at the college, drive into MT. Pleasant and have a nice dinner, then cruise through Pittsburg and Leesburg, and circle back to the college for the moment of REV, and memorial service. Now that these details are worked out, if someone could forward this to Scott Black for me, I would appreciate it. It would be nice to get a little Dallas area press for this.

We also have a host hotel-

Sharon,
Please check the time. Is it 6:55 pm PST (Pacific Standard Time) or 6:55 pm PDT (Pacific Daylight Time)? I think you meant PDT but since the timing is critical we need to be sure it is correct.

To all NE participants: John, Tony and I are arranging dual locations. Those at Summit Point will have a venue that is being coordinated by John and Tony. Those arriving at Carlisle early (Thursday before 7 PM) : I will lead the group from the Raddison (host hotel) to the Carlisle fairgrounds at 9 PM EST. We will meet up with the invitational car display owners that will be in the display building at the Carlisle Ford Show field. This is a rare opportunity to visit the show grounds at night the day before it officially opens to the public for the memorial engine rev. Details will be in the upcoming survival guide.

Anyone & Everyone from the NP Region is welcome to join me as we Rev Our Engines in Salute & Tribute to Mr. Shelby ../../../public/style_emoticons/default/salute.gif

Unfortunately, due to VERY HEAVY CONSTRUCTION, the entire infield and surrounding Parking Lots at the Speedway are temporarily closed to the Public...

However, according to the Event Coordinator at the Speedway, there is a pretty good view of the track from the top of the Casino's Parking Garage...

I plan on being there around 4pm and will probably head into the Casino afterwards for Dinner... See you there!

We also have a host hotel-
La Quinta
