Is anyone planning to go from VA/NC? This event has everything planned 1/4 mile drags, autocrossing, car show, meet/greet etc.. There are 8 host hotels. There will be hundreds of Stangs. Shelby's need make a presence. Just came back from Carlisle event. Without question, a well run affair. 382 Shelby's on the grounds Sat.

Bill - Yes, my hubby and I are planning on going over for the "Cruise In" on Saturday the 21st. It will be my first event with my new GT500 "Charlotte". Yes, my wife and I are planning to attend. Will run the drag races, but only on street tires, not driving 8 + hours on drag radials!

Johnston County here.. Thinking about hitting 95 and going to the Darlington event but not certain I can squeeze the full week. Slvrbllt and I are thinking of heading there but still trying to hammer out the details.. Willing to meet up with any and all if possible and caravan the freeway with the snakes..

Hey Y'all! I am headed over tomorrow morning to the Myrtle Beach Speedway and staying over in MB so I can caravan to Darlington the next day. I would love to caravan over with some more Shelbys! I will be at the Hooter's on 10133 North Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572 on Thursday at lunch and plan on leaving from there. Let's ride! Karen

I went Friday and Saturday, driving up each morning from Charleston (2-hr drive). Not sure if hot is the word to describe the weather (LOL). But it was humid and not much of a breeze. wasn't there the first couple of days but I think they had some rain too.
I got a Barton Shifter installed by the MRT crew and it is sweet and solid, not rubbery.
Go to youtube and type in Mustang Week 2012 and watch the burnouts from the Mall (again) and the Cops chasing down a few (again, also). Here's a link to a few pictures I took:
