NEED NEW TIRES ON MY 2010..SUGGESTIONS ?

These F1's in Canada are $1,500.00 to $2,000.00 per set which is crazy to spend on a car with 20,000 km.
I need to find out what happened as suspension wise the car is bone stock and I never do burn outs etc. but it seems many people are experiencing this problem.
Ford tells you to go shit in a hat but I can't afford this every few years.
Any suggestions on replacements for these F1's ?

Michelin's are great tires, but also really expensive! You might also want to take a look at some Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110s if you are looking for a good bank for your (Canadian) buck.

I can second both of these. Not only that, but they ride SO MUCH better that the F1s.

That's a good looking tire...nice to see it performs as well..I also like the look of the Hankook V12 and it's getting high marks as well....
BTW...are others having this issue with inner tire wear on the Goodyears ?

I can't speak for the others, but all I had on the car, Goodyear wise, were on the rear when I bought it. The inner didn't look any worse than the rest of the tire. Both rears were down to 5/32 and I replaced them shortly thereafter with the Bridgestone RE-11s.

I have the fronts wearing on the inside and the rears wearing on the outside...pressure is at 32 psi...no crazy driving...but I see lots of other sites even with gt and v6 cars experiencing similar tire wear..

On the 2010 500s, the recommended tire pressure is 35 psi front and rear. Could it be that the pressure is to low?

The big issue is the thumping when slowing down...a couple of psi shouldn't create these issues....many have tires set at 30 psi or lower without this thumping sound or odd tire wear...I'm thinking the rubber strut mounts have caused the front wear and a belt may now have shifted in the tire

Very odd. The only time it thumps is when you are slowing down? I would think that if a belt has shifted or if the tire was starting to separate it would thump most of the time or you would feel a vibration. I guess if it was my car, I would have the suspension and alignment checked and then replace the tires like you are planning on.

I cannot believe the astronomical difference. Hooks up like a champ. My Super Snake with the Pilot Sports has better traction that my old GT500s did with their stock tires.
