Bridgestone RE-11 285/35/19 but will the Bridgestone 305/19 fit the 2010 rim, can't find a 295/19 anywhere.

i just installed the 285- 35-19 re11's and they hook up  much better even with my 581 rwhp.Very good choice.I would not go wider with the stock rims due ti handling / bulge - rollover effect.

Ordered the Hankook V12 from the Tire Rack and had them shipped from the USA...CANADIAN MEMBERS LISTEN UP !
I had these tires priced up with install and balance at several local places betwen $2,000.00 and $2,500.00.....

I bought these tires from the Tire Rack and they charge you everything up front...tires, shipping, brokerage,Ontario tire tax and HST so the only difference is the exchange and we are now almost at par...my receipt fron Visa was for $1,300 and change shipped right to my door.....the total time...4 days from date of order.

The tires are awesome...in the past week ....I`ve already driven in 100+ degree heat, serious downpours, stop & go and I just love these tires...(compared to the others..square tires would have been good..lol)....so..

anyhoo...thanks for the imput.....

I just ordered and installed the Michelin Pilot Super Sports 265-40r19 / 285-35r20 and man they are such a nice tire.  They just always hook.  Granted I don't flog my car very hard, but all the old slip I used to experience is no longer happening.  I'm from Toronto, Canada.  I ordered via Tire Rack had them drop shipped to a tire guy in Niagara Falls and he installed them there.  No HST, Duty or other fees (other than $100 for balance mount and install).  Total cost was $1600 some odd dollars for some seriously solid tires.  Local quote from a tire shop around the corner was $2300 and drop ship to my door from Tire Rack was about the same.

Glad you like your new Super Sports.  They are fantastic tire and have been totally happy with mine for the last year.  Couldn't believe how much more they hook compared to the Goodyear.  Like you said there is no slipping with the slightest throttle anymore.

My Ford GT had the Goodyear F1s on them (basically the same as the GT500).  Then I replaced with Bridgestone RE050s before I even got it - real sticky over the temp range.   But now I'm told the tires on the 2013 GT500 are even better, and one FGT guy says he would use them if they were avaialble in FGT sizes.  So check out the 2013 GT500 tires for replacements on older GT500s with the F1s.
Cheers,
Tony

I just ordered Michelin Pilot Super Sports.
They are available in the STTPP sizes, and I really liked them on my last ride.
I expect they will have better traction accross the entire temp range and ride quieter than the G2's.
Got 13k miles out of the G2's. I'm hoping the Michelins last longer too.

I cant even imagine not running a drag radial on my 12.  All of the Michelin Super Sport posts have me wondering if I am wrong.

I would say for street use drag radials are not needed.  There is a reason everyone is raving about the Pilot Super Sports, because they are awesome.  And with a treadwear rating of 300 they should last for quite awhile.... If your not doing burnouts on them all the time.

About a week with my new Pilot Super Sports and I'm really happy with my decision.
They hook up GREAT and are quieter than the G2's.

I have a 2011 GT 500 with the SVTPP, and need to get a new set of tires.  The Goodyears that came with the car are useless and downright dangerous in cooler temps. During my research  for new tires I have read great things about the UHP All Season Bridgestone Potenza RE970AS Pole Position tires, and some folks mentioning they might try them.  However, I haven't found  a post where someone has shared their experience with the tire on a GT500.

I have a couple of questions/concerns:
- The tires are not an exact match.  The closest I see to the 265-40/r19 is the RE970AS's 255-40/r19, and the closest to the 285-35-r20 is 275-35-r20.  Any issues there?

- These are all season tires.  I suspect these will do much better in fall, winter, and spring, but I am concerned about how they do in the summer.

I don't track the car and care more about straight-line performance.

If there is anyone out there that have installed RE970AS Pole Positions with these sizes and care to share their experiences, I'd greatly appreciate it.  I'm so hopeful that whatever I select will significantly improve the performance I'm getting with the stock Goodyears.

Thanks in advance!
