I've read that some members here with the FRPP CAI did not change their tune when they swapped to the TVS.

Is this just the case with the KR owners or is the FRPP tune with the CAI the same no matter what car it's on?

Also what pulley size does a stock TVS come with?

I had the FRPP CAI on my 08 prior to buying the FRPP TVS.  I called the Ford Racing tech line and was instructed that I needed to roll back to the stock tune prior to installing the TVS and new FRPP TVS Tune......

Don't know if there are differences in the two tunes but I wouldn't want to risk it....but that is just me.  I'd call the Ford Tech line and ask them....

I have the same set up as Rarecat and performed the same tune installs when I installed my TVS on my 08.  The car runs great.

FRPP TVS has its own tune. Different than just the CAI tune.

07-09 FRPP TVS has 3.0 pulley. 2010 has 2.8.

Cool, can the 3.0 pulley on the stock supercharger be used on the TVS because the one I'm buying has a 2.6 pulley on it.

Since they're both made by Eaton I'd assume they have the same snout and the pullies would be interchangeable, but I'm not 100% sure. Just curious, why are you taking off the 2.6?

Ford Racing told me I could use my stock KR tune with FRPP TVS with stock pulley. There is a good thread on this somewhere in the KR sub forum.

Because if I can use the FRPP CAI tune with the 3 then I don't have to spend the extra cash... and I don't really need the extra boost.

Ternami/Steve did it on his KR. It's probably his thread you reference.

There is a '11 GT500 running a 2.3L TVS with a STOCK (Factory) tune in Denver, turning 11sec ET's at Bandimere. No other mods....

Phill, do you have any info on that car? Links or anything? This is something I've been wondering about after finding out that you can pulley an 11/12 without a tune. But I can't find much, and nothing about that car.
Freedom exists because there are men and women willing to do terrible things to those who would threaten it.

It is the Marines, Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen who salute the flag, who serve beneath the flag, and who's coffins are draped by the flag, that allow the protester to burn the flag.

I'm not a Shelby guy, I'm not a Mustang guy, I'm not a Camaro or Chevy guy, and I'm not a Dodge guy. I'm a car guy. I don't care what the fender says, if it looks cool, is fast and fun to drive, It can be called a Poo-master 1000 for all I care. I'll still like it.

Jeff S. (Team Shelby-Mountain Region Director) might know more about it, including the owner. He's who was telling me about it at the Ford Fun Weekend/FFW in Denver. I saw the car but it was across the strip from me so I couldn't get to the owner to talk to him.

All I know is what Jeff told me. Stock GT500 with a TVS bolted on, using a STOCK tune. I can't even tell you if it was a Ford Racing TVS, a Roush TVS, a VMP TVS or a FoMoCo (2013) TVS.

I *assumed* it was a FRPP TVS.

You can find Jeff on this forum. Try looking under the regional sections and find Mountain Region.

It's a White car w/Blue stripes. Pretty sure it's a '11, runs out of Denver/Bandimere. Well, it did that day. I wonder if the FFW site would have results from the drags?

Or maybe Bandimere Raceway.

Hey, it's YOUR money,

Phill

Do I really need to answer this? Maybe you should Google it for yourself?

Ok I'll answer it this time, but next time Phil you'll have to do your own work and show the teacher after...

Because spinning the stock blower with a smaller pulley would increase IAT temps and I don't want to do that.

Because even at the same boost level the TVS produces the boost more efficiently than the stock eaton (and as mentioned above does it with lower IAT temps)

And yes it's my money, you got that one right... but I'm only gonna give you partial credit.

Is there anything else you'd like to know? Perhaps why I choose to wear a certain underwear or maybe why I purchase a specific underarm deodorant?

You sure are a curious little guy Phil.

He asked a reasonable question, to you, in a thread that was completely irrelevant to my original post.

And, sorry but don't ask a question unless you really want the answer... and it wasn't meant to be condescending... it was meant to be funny. But sorry if I hurt someone's feelings.
