Went to a body shop today who is well known for custom and special car work.  I liked them.  

They will color match the gold via color spectrum.  Just need to bring a sample.  Intend to get the GT-H/SC side stripes from Shelby and have them match to that.  Will be contacting Roger Sorel.   Front and back window will be removed for paint to keep factory look which is recomended by body shop - (Any conern or thoughts with that?)   Intend to clear over Lemans stripes to make it smooth.  Side strripes will stay tape so they can be replaced in the future back to stock without to much effort if so desired.  They also do lots of fiberglass work.  In the process of writing up the quote.

Car goes in the paint shop the week of Nov 12.  Painted overtop stripes under clear coated and deep draw hood prep and paint.  Will post pictures once car is done.

Car was dropped off at the body shop today with the Terlingua deep draw hood.  GT-H/SC stripes came in.   Car will be in the shop for about two weeks.   They will use the original tape stripes which I have a new set to match color.  They will also compare the Dupont paint color code that has been posted here.  Dupont Code For Gold Paint ...

Let me know if that color works out.  My painter tried that for my bumper a couple months ago and it did not come out right.  He had to do a new spectrum analysis on the previous stripes and do a new custom blend.  Hope it will work out for you.

They used Dupont, but custom mixed in house, so not really a code to give.  Sorry. It was not far off, but just a touch from what the shop gave them.

Hood is being fitted and aligned.  We did notice a small depression on the left side of the hood between the front edge and the deep draw as you face the hood.  Body shop says this will not be an issue, however those that got one may want to see if they have the same depression.  I have been told the hoods are hand made so who knows.  I did not notice it until I got it on the car.

Looking at my pics of the hood, I don't see the same depression.

We are going to check on the car's progression Friday and drop off the new billet hood pin kit.  I will take pics then of our progress and post them.

That's good because it would add additional prep work.   I went with the GT-H type hood pins just to keep it looking similair.
