Missing the Sirius and has wrong rims on it but has the impossible to find Hertz and 40th Anniv badges. Someone will have to check the Vin against the registry to make sure.

How sad. It hurts my heart to see that. If you could get it cheap it would be a good fixer upper for a daily driver

Yes the car is legit, 06H0231. Everything looks correct including the wheels. The rear window louvers would be an owner modification along with the stripes on the front spoiler.

The wheels are correct in style, but wrong color.  Those are the bright silver ones rather than the anthracite ones which should be on the GT-H.  Funny, my car had those on it also when I bought it from the dealer.  The wheels were scuffed so they put the wrong ones on it.  I found a brand new set of correct ones with brand new tires that I bought to keep.  Sad.  but easy repair.  Agree that would make a great driver.

I just bought this car it ISNT hurt that bad at all will be an easy fixer and nice driver yes.  NOT a parts car at all will be sharp will post pics as it is fixed.  anyone that has any info would be most helpful.  There are only 500 of these cars as you know anyone have an idea how many are left?

Congrats!  What was the final price?  I could tell that there isn't that much damage.  Easy fix.  I was wondering what the deal was with the miles.  It is odd that it still has the same miles on it as when it was for sale on here a few years ago.  I've never seen one of these odemeters not work.  the car appears that the miles could be acurate based on interior wear, etc.  Glad to see it went to an enthusiast who will put it back on the street.  I was seriously considering it, but my buddy here who bids on Copart stuff for me was not able to bid in MO due to a different license needed there.  Will be good to here more about it once you get it.

well the deal is the car was stolen and sat under a tarp in someones garage for the past 18 months.  I was able to get ahold of the original owner thanks to the TS website.  SUPER NICE GUY.  Sent him a message and he called me i was shocked.  He said that is similar miles to what he had on it, before it was stolen.  Should be back tomorrow so we will see what all she needs it will be a sweet ride when its all back together.  Take Care all

Thanks excited   Hope we get to meet up with the original owner he has a bunch of info on the car, he is going to give to me.  Hope we can connect.  I am not a bodyman by trade by any means but have had several builders over the years.  This one is gonna be a keeper.  The plan is to give it to the wife for our anniversary this year.

Not trying to sound rude didn't respond to the question about what i bought it for because i really didn't feel that it needed posting on the forum, i will say this, that over time i have bought several cars off of Copart and you have to be very careful what you buy.  I don't have a bodyshop but a friend of mine does, and that is how i went thru college is buying builders driving them a few months and then selling them.  I will say this, the car went thru Copart as a REGULAR mustang not a Hertz Car so i was able to buy it very reasonable.  If you all like I will post pics as it is being repaired.  I am going with all genuine ford parts and Shelby parts to it will be fixed correctly.  The good news is on the car it looks much worse than it actually is.  The frame is not bent at all on the car car.  The radiator core support had a bad day but the rails are straight and true, didnt even break the windshield.  Triped the drivers airbag but those arent a big deal to fix.  already have the old support out, we put it on a frame machine used tram guages and everything crosses out within specs   Here is the kicker it damaged the core support but did not damage the condensor so the AC still has a full charge but it did some the radiator.  Luckly I upgraded my 07 to a C&R radiator so i still have my radiator from that vehicle.  Biggest problem is finding a reasonable price on that bumper cover My cost from Ford is $625 and a can get a reman for $300 but that is the difference going with good quality parts, instead of reproduction.  There is a difference.  I just need to find a set of Gold Stripes if anyone has some.

JeffJ the deal on the miles is the car got stolen, sat in a garage under a tarp for over a year, the theif decided to take it out on a joy ride get this with plates stolen off of a stolen minivan and then it was wrecked.  I guess if i was going to steal a car i would not pick one that sticks out quite like this car does....   I confirmed this with the original owner, who i was able to contact thankfully thru this forum.  He was really bummed out about it to say the least.  The interior is in pristine condition with the exception of some normal wear on the drivers seat.  The miles were sold as not actual because anytime an insurance company takes title to a vehicle and they can't physically see the odometer when they get the title it automatically becomes unknown, and since the car was stolen and the owner was paid on the claim and they couldn't verify miles this is why.  I have ran an autocheck on it and everything matches also a friend of mine owns a Ford dealer and what many people dont know is that these cars store the odometer in the computer and the dash cluster so they plugged in the ford computer and the cluster and the car's PCM are an exact match.  So now i am contacting the DOT to try and get the miles certified to get this wiped off the title.  I will keep you all posted.  Thanks for the help!

Jon,

As a GTH owner you are able to purchase replacement stripes thru SAI. The GTH stripes are now sourced from a different  vendor who uses a higher quality material compared to the original stripes.

Not sure of the price but if you call SPP at 702-405-3500 and ask for Wendy she'll be able to let you know pricing and also place your order if you so desire.
