Yes it is mine. I'll try to get some pictures in a day or two, but I'm swamped with work since I was on the road Mon and Tues and need to play catch up. Be patient

I stopped by PAS on my way home to talk with the owner and Kevin from FlimFlam shot a number of pictures of it. I would have thought he would have also posted the one picture he took of it from the rear, he couldn't believe how it looked with those big rear tires under it. The car looks like it has been mini-tubed to fit that large of a tire under it.

It doesn't bother me if somebody got pics of it on the web before I can. At the moment this is the one and only set of this style/model wheel on a Mustang or GT500 that has been manufactured by ADV, so if you see pictures of this wheel anywhere on the web on a Red Candy car, it will be my car. The pic Kevin from FlimFlam posted looks more like a teaser photo than anything else, because the complete car with this wheel/tire combo looks very good in person and that picture doesn't do anything for me. Kevin asked me if he could do a photo shoot of the car once it was cleaned up, so you'll probably see more pictures floating around that will look much better than any that I could take in the future. Also since Wheels Boutique had their photographer take many pictures, I would assume it may show up on their website and Facebook page shortly if they have one.

Yes the wheels will be a pain in the butt to clean, but the look of them is priceless.

Yes, they do brushed finishes. In fact these wheels are a brushed finish with a tinted clear coat applied to them. In the sunlight they look different than compared to this photo. In low light or overcast lighting they look grey. This photo was taken with cloud cover obscuring the direct sunlight so the luster of the aluminum didn't show through the tinted clear coat

I see. I'm still debating just selling the alcoas and going with a brushed very light performance wheel like adv1. I don't know yet if I want to go black alcoas or brushed another wheel since it will cost like 1200 dollars apparently to get the alcoas brushed.

I want a wheel color like the hennesey venom gt or lexus LFA which I believe is the brushed finished. It's the same finish on the new super snake wheels.

Are talking about a brushed aluminum with a standard clear coat finish? These are actually more of a milled finish depending on the wheel manufacturer. A brushed finish is when they take the a milled wheel and remove the machine markings from manufacturing it, but not polishing it to a high luster like the Alcoa wheel.

I'm not sure. I guess it is the brushed aluminum finish? It is whatever the new super snake finish wheels are on that candy red 2013 super snake shelby is always showing. Though on the hennessey venom gt the wheels don't shine as much as the shelby wheels it is more of the same thing but without the shine.

I'm glad you think its clean, but trust me in person it is very dirty. The front wheels are showing the accumulation of brake dust and look darker than the rears in these pictures. I'm trying to keep the car looking as subdued or suttle as possible in appearance this way not many people will realize what it is until they look at it closer. The rest of my exterior mods will consist of a Super Snake hood and carbon fiber chin spoiler, along with the Roush Performance side and rear splitters to finish it off. Thanks for the kind words

Super snake hood?? Whaaat?? I thought you were doing all purely function mods and thats why you got those light weight wheels?

If you aren't as anal as me about the direction of carbon fiber weave matching as a V through out the car I would suggest getting the carbon fiber roush splitters from trucarbon or someone else to match the super snake carbon fiber splitter you are going to put.

I really like the way your car looks and those wheels are very nice. I may actually be a poser and sell my alcoas and copy you.

They look almost like the hennessey venom gt spyder wheelshttp://www.google.com/imgres?um=1&hl=en&sa=N&tbo=d&biw=1280&bih=572&tbm=isch&tbnid=ngcuHDu_nAkWrM:&imgrefurl=http://www.autoblog.com/2012/05/20/hennessey-venom-gt-spyder-pops-in-at-cars-and-coffee/&docid=87QLU34B0O9XCM&imgurl=http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2012/05/hennessey-venom-gt-spyder-c.jpg&w=628&h=417&ei=1r3VULvMJuqs0AHz44Ew&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=523&vpy=193&dur=476&hovh=142&hovw=228&tx=175&ty=123&sig=110048273861306990152&page=1&tbnh=140&tbnw=226&start=0&ndsp=16&ved=1t:429,r:2,s:0,i:98

Can I get those wheels in the finish in the picture? And how much did your wheels cost and what size are they?

thanks

Also have you found out how much they weigh yet?

Now I'll give my opinion of the Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. Compared to the Goddyear F1 G:2 they ride noticably softer, along with a lot less noise. They are cold temperature sensitive though, but not nearly as bad as the Goodyear tires. They have great traction above 65 degrees, but lose a considerable amount of traction at 45 degrees. I don't feel that they are dangerous to drive at the lower temperatures, where as with the Goodyear I wouldn't drive the car if temperatures went below 55 degrees.. The Goodyears lost all traction at 55 degrees or lower, where as the Michelin has much more grip at this temperature. In fact I felt that the Michelin exhibited as much traction at 45 degrees as the Godyears do at 60 degrees. The Michelins do pick up sand and small gravel when warm and throw it up in the wheel wells very similar to the Goodyear tire. The other thing I've noticed is turn in to a corner seems to be lighter, with a quicker response than with the Goodyear tires.

As far as fitting the 315 in the rear this is extremely close to the inner fender insulation. The inner fender insulation needs to be removed. Occasionaly the tire will also rub on each side on large globs of seem sealer. The seam sealer is protruding roughly a 1/4" into the wheel well and I will cut it down to smooth things down and hopefully not rub it again. It seem the only time it rubs is on driveway aprons while turning into them, so the suspension is both articulated side to side and twisted at the same time. The 285 on the front have not touched anything, regardless of how articulated.

Yes I choice these wheels because they are light. I also choice them for the look of them. ADV will do any finish you want as long as you're willing to pay for it. They build wheels on whatever you order and do not have an inventory system for you to pull from at the time of the purchase. Each set of wheels they build is for that particular customers taste and style.Too much.....but if you want a discount on the list price, deal with Wheels Boutique in Miami. The cost of them will be dependent on the finish you choice. Mine are a single tint of brushed gunmetal, but you can actually have them apply multiple layers of tint to achieve different looks with the same finish. This will raise the price though. As far as how much they weigh it should be around 26 lbs each or so. ADV didn't weigh them as I had asked, so nobody knows. You can see in an earlier post what the wheel and tire weighs and deduct the tire weight to get you answer.

I almost bought the trucarbon splitters, but didn't want to deal with the possility of the gell coat turning yellow.

You need the SS hood to fit the bigger supercharger, so that is functional in my opinion. Yes I gain weight, but I've already lost weight in the fron of the car with the KB suspension pieces that should balance it out.

Van installed the 2.8L LC Kenne Belle supercharger and had to lower his engine with a BMR K member to fit it under the stock hood. I'd like to run a 3.6L LC with the engine in the stock location with the SS hood. From what I've been told this will depend on the hood and car as to whether or not it will clear without modifications. The Kenny Brown K member doesn't lower the engine to achieve extra hood clearance for a larger supercharger. It is strictly for weight reduction and suspension geometry changes for better handling

If you're talking about this finish on the wheel you want this would be a simple finish for ADV to do

The size of my wheels are 10" x 20 " front and 11" x 20" rear
