My boost gauge blue led light is not that bright? My other ones resemble yours though???

Really basic question - How do you get at the bulbs to change them?  Do you have to take the gauge pod off the dash or do you leave it attached and pull the gauges out from the front of the pod in some way?  Thanks

The pod stays attached and the gauges stay in. Pull the wire with the black connector out of the top of the gauge, then pull out the bulb. You will have to wiggle the bulb ceause they are in tight.

I installed these a couple of years ago.
Same issue, the boost gauge is not as bright.
I think it has something to do with the construction of that particular gauge.

I installed some blue LED's in my guage pod about a month ago. Same thing with the light distribution in the boost guage.

I look at my boost gauge and it looks like the boost bezel is closer to the front gauge ring surface which caused less light to go around the bezel. Hence, not as much light comes through. May be a fix for it, but my plate is a little full now. Will post if I can get to it in the near future.

This site is so cool. I remember reading this ages ago. Installed my gauges and really wanted blue LEDs, found the thread, part number and ordered.
