Thank you... that was all I was trying to say before the safety police got all technical.
Noone is disputing that the dealer can (and some do) screw things up, but the technical point you seem to have missed is quoted above.
Your best defense is to request to be present when the work is done, or carefully document the condition around the service area before they do the service.
My dealer says I will be present when the work is done and allowed to drive the car to the service bay.
