Look at the extremely minor mods done to this mach 1 and just see its 1/4 mile time:

My absolutely bone stock 03 Mach 1 went a best of 13.36 @ 104 mph on factory tires. 13.01 @ 105 mph on drag radials. I swapped the 3.55 gears for 4.30 gears with no improvement. Time for full exhaust to nail down some 12's.

Nope! 13.01 with the 3.55's and 13.02 with the 4.30's - so damn close! Quicker through the 1/8 mile and feels way better driving on the street, but the extra shift (into 4th gear) at the 1/4 mile drags is offsetting the benefit of the steeper gears! Guess it's time to replace the POS stock shifter with a high quality aftermarket shifter, then I'll see some 12.90 timeslips. On a positive note, the mph through the traps is higher now (105+ mph with the 4.30's versus 103-4 mph with the 3.55's).

Get it done man, and let your car be the proof of potential behind the mach 1's.

Damn! Love it! My 03 Mach has Borla cat-backs, and I just recently reprogrammed it. Gotta get me to the drag strip!
