In the original SC models of the 427 Cobras, were the heads aluminum or cast?

This might be a question that the gearheads over at Club Cobra can answer quickly for you.

Thanks, KBCobra. I ordered aluminum heads on the motor I am getting built, but I am having them painted black, the same color of the block to get that "correct" look. Thanks again.
