Good day to all...and thank you for viewing this post.

Now that we have our forum up and running ..(thank you Team Shelby again...)....and we have your undivided attention.......

We would like to ask for all members of any genre of Shelby/Mustang class to assist us in locating as many members as possible that have purchased component parts from SAI directly or had full or partial modifications for these CS6 / CS8 vehicles .

Unfortunately, CS6/CS8 vehicles do not qualify for a registry which makes it very difficult to document where these vehicles are, or how many have been built.

These are Shelby designed vehicles, with two clear package options offered for a complete vehicle however individual components are still available.

In the words of SAI..... because the vehicles have not been "up-fitted" at their facility they conform as "enthusiast class" only.

Sterling Ford in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada have recently become authorized to build these vehicles and are proposing a grand scale venue to showcase these CS series vehicles.

In conjunction with this main event, they are requesting the presence of all Shelby, Mustangs or enthusiast type vehicles that would like to attend this event as it will be a full day of prizes, judging, media coverage (television, radio and newspaper) which will finish off with a planned cruise event.

There has also been full commitment from Modified Mustang Magazine to cover this event so the chance to have focus on individual vehicles is very good.

The event will take place May 10th 2008 in Ottawa...

There is another pre-forum post floating around somewhere from "stang myster"with all the details but if you have any vehicle information what so ever could you please have them contact me directly and I will attempt to document all participants and forward this information to the party in Ottawa responsible for organizing this event.

Even if you just love the look of the CS vehicles and have purchased even a GT-H /CS6/8 hood we would like to see you participate in this event.

Very Best Regards

Randy..

I'd love to see pics of this event as I love all Shelby Mustangs and haven't seen too many CS6/8 pics.

Since Team Shelby is doing a show in Ontario in 2008, we should find a way to work together to put on one big event. We'd certainly like to have CS owners involved and even title the 2008 event the "Official Shelby CS" reunion.

Of course, we're not against two events in Canada, but I think we could leverage more resources if we worked together.

Let me know what you all think about this.

They are Shelby enough that the only car I lost to at shows last year was Jason Cenora's CS-8.

As I have stated in previous posts, I'm just the messenger here and have no affiliation to the event organizers in Ottawa, but from what I understand about this venue, the primary focus is to market this CS6/8 program at this specific Ottawa dealership.

The only issues with one collaborated event for everyone I believe would be location and event focus as that unfortunately is not flexible.

The premise for the Ottawa event is to provide large scale exposure for Sterling Ford who are promoting this event which is Ottawa based, and the CS6/8 program they are now authorized to produce.

The show and cruise will be open to all Shelby /Mustang owners and enthusiasts but it has to revolve around this particular dealership and it's product offerings.

I think we would all be ecstatic if enough individuals attended the Ottawa event to support the CS6/8 program to make it a genuine success and perhaps an annual "Shelby/Mustang" event.

With that being said however, the fact this generous offer has been put forth to us CS6/8 owners that have fought tooth & nail for some well deserved recognition (even from the mother-ship...lol), I think I can speak for everyone , that we would all welcome the opportunity to partake in one large combined event, or would certainly ensure we were all available to attend both events.

For me, it's all about the love of the vehicles and if this CS program can take root and grow within our own Shelby community I for one would be greatly appreciative.

Yes, the location will cause a problem since we are planning (hopefully) a road course/drag event. As for the CS, Team Shelby has not forgotten about it and I suspect you'll read more about it soon.
