Okay all,

I intend on having a set down, get together, have a cocktail, spread the brotherhood, type meal Saturday night for all you Shelby guys. I have a spot in Hermann for it.

www.shelbyfest.net now has link attached to St Louis hotels as well as lodging in Hermann. I ecnourage eveyone to think about staying in Hermann to take advantage of the atmosphere and not have to drive anywhere. It will put you in good shape for an early rise and departure home on Sunday.

Lots of good places to stay. One of the owners of Hermann Ford owns some of the lodging but he has asked me not say which ones because he wants the community to have an equal chance at the business.

If you have any questions, pm me and I'll try to assist.

Kyle,

I just spent about 30 minutes on the website...and I must say you've outdone yourself...excellent job! Mostly I looked at places to stay in Hermann on Saturday...sounds like a good idea since KCMO is buying the wheat beer. :beerchug: We'll just have to keep the riff-raff out by not letting kaylan bring any of that Canadian stuff. :hysterical:

There were a couple of dead links you could check....Grape Vine Inn and Grey Stone Inn.

Take care...I'm there dude. (white legs and all :hysterical2: )

We are about 80% that my wife is going to ride out and come with us for the week end and stau on Sunday night there too so she can spend a day relaxing or doing what ever she wants for a day before coming back home on Monday.

Still trying to figure out where will be a good place for the 3 me and Kyle and Kelly in Herman but very much looking forward to it all!

Edit: Looks like the wife is in so we just reserved a suite at a Bed and Breakfast on Market and 2nd street. It allows us to have a room for Kyle to sleep in and a room for us in case Kelly wants to try to take advantage of me ;)

Or maybe get a phote done for Joe if he's not coming.

We just made reservations at the Wine Valley Inn. http://www.wine-valley-inn.com/ To a degree it involves a leap of faith, because I know nothing about the Inn other than some quick research I preformed. I spoke to the Inn keeper and its on the same street as the Ford Dealer, it's made up of 2 buildings, one which was just built out last year...(that's the one were staying in) she said it's on the 2nd floor that has a nice deck, and finally, she said she is 5 blocks to one winery and 8 block to another. That sealed the deal!! :happy feet:

King size bed, breakfast...is running around $160 on Saturday Night. (With some tax, it's around $175 +/-)

On another note, I just spoke to a friend who owns some property in Hermann, and he has invited me to stay on his farm. I may need to follow up on that, especially if he has a barn or garage. In any event I have something locked in.

As far as my itinerary ... it is shaping up to look like:

I. Drive over to Gateway and check out the Friday night action.
II. Meet Saturday morning with group and drive to Hermann.
III. Shelbyfest Hermann 9am to 2pm +/-
IV. Shelbyfest Car Rally and Drive 2pm to 4pm +/-
V. Go to a Winery for 1 or 2 hours etc... Yeah
VI. Shelbyfest Dinner

This is what I am seeing, so far ... of course it will get sliced and diced when the actual Itinerary is up and running.

Praying for good weather!!

So all of the chain hotel links are in O Fallon IL, which is 90 miles from Hermann. Is everyone just staying in Hermann on Friday and Saturday? Just want to make sure we book into the right area. Also I do not want to change hotels from Friday to Saturday and have to cart my stuff around to the dealership on Saturday until check in.

Anyone know of any places in Hermann that has wireless internet?

I'm staying in O'Fallon on Friday, and Hermann on Saturday. I know many others are doing the same.
