From there we will caravan to a local hotspot : Fastlane Classic Cars to cruise in and browse their inventory. They have tons of really nice restored autos for sale as well as a massive gift shop.

From Fastlane, we will cruise about 5 miles back up the road to another popular cruise in spot for dinner. The original Chuck A Burger was a popular cruise-in spot since the 50’s. You can check out their menu on their website. Simple and cheap, perfect for a Friday night cruise.

Saturday morning meet in the parking lot at the Baymont Inn at 6:30am. Hopefully we’ll depart around 7:15am to put us in Hermann around 9am. The caravan route to Hermann has yet to be announced.
Arriving at Hermann:
Shelby Show Off time from 9am-3pm
Registration fee of $20 will cover your name badges, lanyards, and welcome kits, etc….
Grant Dino of Gateway Performance (www.gatewayperformance.com) (authorized Shelby Dealer) has been a big help in securing some aspects of the show and is this year’s main sponsor.
Jeff and Julie Yergovich of R&A Motorsports (www.r-amotorsports.com) will be there with their Twister Special mustangs. Jeff is not only one of the nation’s top experts in Shelby Mustang restoration, but an innovator that has been working with SAI on design issues of the new Super Snake. They will also be filming an episode of their weekly Total Ford Performance radio show and webcast right there at the event. Guests for the show to be announced.
Forrest Tosie of Mother’s Car Care will be on hand handing out some goodies and is providing us with a few deluxe detail kits to give away.
We will also have representatives from Team Shelby (Robert and Sharon) as well as Ford, CDC and possibly even SAI.
We will have items to give away from the following generous vendors:
Gateway Performance
Ford
Shelby Automobiles
Team Shelby
R&A Motorsports
Evolution Performance
JLT
Mother’s Car Care
Lethal Performance
JEGS
Summit Racing
Borla
Steeda
Cervini
We will have concessions on site provided by the Little Dixie Shrine Club Motor Patrol. They were there last year and provided a full lunch menu including booming onions, burgers, and brats made right there in Hermann. Costs were very reasonable last year and they even provided a discount for car owners. We will have plenty of shade this year for folks to get out of the elements.
Restrooms are available on site at the Dealership.
The City of Hermann will be open and in full swing so the wineries will all be open giving tours and tastings. We will have a local resident on hand that will be operating a van to shuttle folks to those destinations. He has done this for the last three years for the Hermann Car Club and operates on tips (take care of him and he will take care of you).
After the show ends at the dealership, those that are staying in Herman Saturday night might want to take the opportunity to return to their rooms to freshen up otherwise, we’ll make a very short caravan to Hermann’s Riverview park (overlooking the mighty Missouri River) for our evening dinner. The Little Dixie Shrine Club will be catering the event and serving a steak dinner with all the fixings. Tea and lemonade will be provided with dinner. Beer and alcohol is allowed in the park but must be on a BYOB basis (don’t worry, we will pool our cooler resources to provide plenty of frosty cold storage). We can set out in the park until we rot.
Meal cost will be $10 per plate.
Event tee shirts costs will be available via pre-order and at the event. The registration form is available for download via the event website at www.shelbyfest.net and due by April 1st.

Looking forward to this very much. Harbor Haus B&B & Nestle Inn still have openings if anyone needs a place to stay in Herman. They are owned by the same couple and the info is in the big list here: http://www.hermannmo...es/lodging.html
