Has anyone else who got their super snake back noticed the rear hinges digging up into the fiberglass hood? It's all the way at the back of the hinge.

if you have an issue, you might want to call your rep to see what that is and did it happen in transit. We do a complete check, the reps are on on the site regularly

It's definitely not a transport issue. the metal from the hinge is pushing upwards , the dimples are high on the hood rather than a low looking dent. It looks like the where the hinge meets the hood the hinge almost got over tightened and it crushed into the fiberglass. or the bolt is too long and is pushing upwards into the exterior of the hood. I don't think there is any way to fix without replacing the hood. Great! :finger:

Keith,

This is not an arrival thread.

This is a "Trying to get a problem resolved on a public forum thread".

That really sucks. It does sound that the bolts used, were to long.
I'm sure SAI will make it right.

okay, won't argue the point except to point out the forum under which this thread was posted:
Shelby GT500, 40th, SS & KR Arrival Forum

Just trying to participate and wanted to see his SS... certainly hate there is an issue with it for sure. Posting a pic might help explain the issue and make the resolution easier.

That has to be a real heartbreaker, I'm sure SAI will fix it but it has to be disheartening to have go through this on your new baby. Hope it gets worked out quickly and easily...

Umm, this is an arrival thread. It arrived, he wasn't happy, and posted so that other arrivals can be checked for the same thing. Pics would be good.

What am I missing?

Does anyone know if this hinge problem has been fixed?
I would hate to spend 28k+ and have the hood damaged.

Looking at your Avatar, there, Shelby # 18, reminds me yet again that Amy was right and Coldy was wrong about what color stripes look best on a white Super Snake.
