Anyone done any track time at Summit Point Raceway?

I live just a few miles from there and wanted to see if anyone does any track time there. Its the same track they use on Motor Week and its about 1hour outside of DC.

I've raced there many times - not in my Shelby, but in BMW's. Its a great track!

I used to SCCA race this car at Summit Point for more than a decade. I still instruct at the occasional school there. They now have 3 race tracks there. I am envious of you living close to the track. Definately take in a few track schools there. You will be glad you did.

Im ashamed to say I only live about 20 miles from the track and have never been there. Going was on my to do list this past year but never got that one scratched off. Maybe Ill make it next year.

Track Guys / SVTOA does an event with instruction there the first weekend in May every year, usually on the Shenandoah Circuit.

Yes, Summit Point is a fun track. I raced 12 hours at the point w/ the SCCA about 4 years ago. 12 hour endurance race me and two other drivers. You really should go. Beware, road racing and/or open tracking is addictive!
