I'm not sure if this is a serious question or that you are just saying you don't like the music I chose. The direct answer is that every note of music past the 2:30 point is new. That is almost 7 1/2 minutes of new music. If you would like to compare the original, copy and paste this link into your browser and take a look.

http://uk.youtube.co...h?v=hy4RPGx2b9Q

I realize that orchestral music may not be your cup of tea, but if this music sounds like screeching tires to you I kind of wonder if you really watched the whole thing and gave the music a fair shake. If you were hoping for rock, heavy metal, country, or rap, there are plenty (page after page) of youtube Bullitt chase scene videos that should be to your liking. If this wasn't something different, I wouldn't have posted it.

I also realize that messing around with the Bullitt chase scene can turn a person into a Heretic in a real hurry. The producers chose to leave the scene with no music and no dialog for a reason - Those two cars sound awesome. And their choice is a hard one to refute. The fact that the music I added here drowns out the Mustang when it catches a healthy second still bugs me. However, the music does get quiet at a point which I had hoped would still allow the viewer to hear that 440 just purring along while McQueen had the 390 wound up a bit in order to keep up. My goal was to hopefully add to the scene, not drown it out or take it over, and I sure wasn't going to make it a music video and eliminate the great sounds of both those cars.

Modifying the Bullitt chase scene is like modifying your car, you do to it what you want to see. Not everybody is going to like it (I've caught hell more than once for the dual carbs on my 390 68 FB), but you still take it to shows and let people look at it. Ultimately, it is the tastes of each individual viewer that will decide whether they like this video clip or not.

Anyway, thanks for taking a look, and thanks for giving some feedback.

Dart,

Of course I didn't mean to offend you but on my laptop I could not hear the music so good because of the car sounds. On my other computer with 5.1 surround I could. Now I know I missed something.

The music doesn't quite catch the essence of the chase scene. Yet the song itself is cool, I'm a sucker for the drums.

Don't worry, I wasn't offended. I just felt that I probably should post something after your comment so that others would know that there was some new music there. And it made me realize that I probably should have given a bit of a description of what I had done. Thanks for giving it a second look.

Some things never get old. The music has a great beat, easy to dance to, I'll give it an 8.5 :happy feet:

Good Job.

How many classic muscle cars did you see?

I saw the white Firebird (67-69) twice.

Thats the greatest chase film ever recorded. love the sound of the Mustang and the way it handles better that the Charger. i know Steve did all his own driving , no stunt driver needed to film the Movie. it would be great to make a new movie like all the other movies they redo like Gone in 60 Seconds.

Not true. According to those involved, when Steve overshot the turn where he locked up the tires and under steered, they took him out of the car. Go here to read what those involved had to say. Some interesting reading.

Heyy I like it!! I think they must have went through a couple of cars, ha-ha, like when the Charger tanked the camera at 3:15. And see - hey had wheel hop back then too :hysterical2: Also, didn't look the Bullitt had posi - love the "one wheel peel"!!

I watched that movie through a couple of months ago... EPIC.

About 30 seconds before they hit the open road, I saw my old '69 SS 396 Chevelle for about a second.

BTW, when McQueen smoked the tires, I just realized that the car did not have a positraction rear end. Wonder why?
