Hey Team Shelby,

Will someone please explain the history on the CS cars, or at least send me a link to info on them? When were they built? What upgrades did they have ect?

Thanks!

Thanks Ingram.

I guess I am still a little bit confused though....was this a package done on new cars, or did you just order the CS6/CS8 package from the parts catalogue and put it on your car?

Were they avaible only on 2006 models, or others as well?

Just trying to brush up on my knowledge of all CS products!

Thanks,

The package (turn-1 or turn-2) can be ordered and installed on your car by yourself or be installed by one of the authorized shops (Quantum, Tasca, etc).
The first prototype was a 2006 car but it is not limited to 2006 vehicles. Mine is a 2007 car.

I have some questions about the CS8 Turn 2 kit.

I am interested in picking up a '05 or '06 Mustang GT for a good price and building a Shelby CS8 Turn2.
Now - I know this is a pretty heated discussion already regarding the 'recognition' from SAI. . . . however, here's my question.

Other than - Sterling Ford in Canada (I think it was) - is there anywhere that will build the CS8 for me? Can I send my Post-Title Mustang GT to SAI and have them complete the modifications at the Mod Shop??? I know they will take my '08 Shelby GT back and complete conversion into Shelby GT/SC.

I like the idea of being able to do the work myself, but I also like the idea of having an experienced team putting this car together for me too.

Any input on this?? Thanks!

Quantum, Tasca, or Sean Hyland in Ottawa will build them which makes them official builds. I don't think the SAI mod shop will do a CS conversion. Prior to the existance of the any of the mod shops, I had my CS6 built at Gessford Motorworks in Hastings, Nebraska (he builds CX-series Cobras for Shelby). It is not as "official" as Quantum, Tasca, or Hyland but there were no mod shops back then.

Hey Paleoc,

To my knowledge, it doesnt make them more offical to have any of those shops build your CS car. Complete, correct and craftsmenship by anyone including your self will get you a dash plaque.
