This thread is a feeler for interest in another Team Shelby Nor-Cal cruise.
So far, the plan is to cruise to the Good Guys 27th All American Get Together in Pleasanton on March 28th.
The show is a 2 day event, so if the 29th works better for most, we can do it then.
The route is undecided and depends on where everyone would like to meet.

Here's the list:

1. idrathergolf - Dana - 07 GT500
2. KAM - Kevin - 07 GT500 40th
3. stjulien - Michael - 08 GT500
4.

Count me in! :happy feet: :happy feet: Is anyone pre-registered? Doesn't matter but of course it's quicker getting in and you save +/-$10. I usually go in the back gate behind the horse track - you get to drive through the tunnel at the fairgrounds and they usually have someone that takes a picture of you driving your car. You can purchase this picture (or not) later during the day.

Good to know. I'm available either day, but the 28th is definitely preferable. Let's just call it Saturday for sure, unless lots of folks object.

Kevin, I'm happy to hear you can make it! I haven't registered. Do you know how early we'd have to arrive, if we were to register?

If you want to park as a group, most people arrive in around 4:45 on Saturday and 5:45 on Sunday to get a good spot.

I believe they open the gates at 6:00 am. If you want to park together, I would line up between 5:00 to 5:30. If anyone wants to pre register, they close pre regestration 2 weeks before show.

Ken,

They divide into two lines: pre-registered and people that need to register. Pre-registered moves a little faster. They don't start taking money until 6:00 a.m. but people are there by 5:00 or earlier to line up.

Good deal, I put you down Michael.

Anyone have any route ideas yet? Interest in registration? I don't really see myself waking up at 2AM, just to park inside, but maybe that's just me? ;)

Ken, you can park inside the show any time you arrive. I think it cost $30.00 which includes two adult tickets for each day and parking for Saturday and Sunday and kids under 12 get in free. I think if you pay for parking, it's $8.00 and the tickets are $15.00/each adult and $6.00/each kid 6 to 12.

I don't want to go that early and then just park all day. I'm not familiar with the format however maybe Kam can provide more details.

Here's an idea. Meet at or near the Pleasanton Fairgrounds. If parking is free then meet in one of the lots.
From there cruise to Discovery Bay Yacht Harbor on the Delta via Vasco Rd. They have big parking lots there. Take some pictures and have lunch at the cafe in the harbor. Then cruise back to car show or head our separate ways from there. It's about a 45 minute drive from the fairgrounds to the harbor. Vasco is a two-lane road with a few passing lanes. The only problem with Vasco is if you go more than 5 over the speed limit you will get a ticket. Most of the road is 55. Not exactly the Golden Gate Bridge but it's pretty easy to get to and the roads are good.
I still have to verify I'm good for that date, but I thought I would throw the idea out there.

EDIT - Kam posted before I posted so he provided the details, thanks Kevin.

Kevin, this makes it much more palatable for sure! I'd be up for meeting, cruising, and registering for the show, in that case.

Andy, I don't know that area at all, so I have absolutely zero input as for the route! :)
If you know the roads, then you should probably lead the way. :shift:

Is there anyone else we're missing here that might be interested in the cruise?
How about registering? Andy, Dana, Kevin, Michael, what do you guys think?
Should we show and shine or stay out of the fray?
I've never been to the GoodGuys show, but I've always heard good things.

Thank for the heads up on this.
