I will be leading all from the Baymont Hotel in O'fallon Il. Saturday morning the 25th, I will arrive there at 6:15 and meet everyone in the lobby like last year with LaMonte. We will leave there about 7:00 sharp so please be filled up and ready to cruize, We will proceed down I-64 west to 44 west to the 44 and lindberg exit (right) to the Walmart parking Lot like last year. Superchief will have a table set up and some crispy cremes for us and we will meet the rest of the group there. We will leave there about 8:15 and head down 44 west to 270 north the 40 west exit, we will follow that to 70 west all the way down to the Herman Mo. exit. There will be people in Herman to lead us to the parking areas and check the shelbyfest.net site for check in for the show details. I will stay in Herman most of the night just let me know where everyone will be hanging out. I will come back to St. Louis and lead Sue Morris and little Lamonte back down there for the breakfest. I will pick her up around 6:00am and should be back in time to eat some of Greggs famous pancakes!!!! let me know if you need anything. We will also be at the track Friday night I will arrive there around 6:30. I'm off all day friday so if anyone wants to eat somewhere before that let me know, Fairview Heghts and O'fallon has many places to eat and accomdate large crowds too!. so these are the plans, please drive safe and see you all soon!! Mickey,

Sounds good to me... I'll be leaving Hermann Ford on Sat Morning NO LATER THAN 7:00am with whomever wants to join in for the ride over to the Wal-Mart Parking Lot. We should be there by 8:00am, just in time for the cruise back to Hermann with all of you guys :shift:

I am taking route 100 out of Hermann, down to I-44 and then heading EAST into St Louis... That way, we aren't driving back to Hermann on the same road we just came over on...

Call my cell phone # (913) 526-4948 if anything changes that night... As my wife and I are going to stay in Hermann on Friday & Saturday nights...

See you then!

I know thi smight be kind of an off the wall question but just for the sake of us planning, approximately how many cars are going to be in this caravan? We need to make sure we have enough people at registration to help speed up the process of getting people into the show.

To One & All:

I spoke with the Kirkwood Police, and they said they would assist us leaving Walmart at 8:15am, Saturday 4-25-09 This will be Awesome…. they will block the traffic on S. Kirkwood Rd. (Hy 67) to allow us to leave as one group!! This will allow us to continue West on HY 44 …see below. Attached is the Walmart Exit Map.

I will be at the parking lot with Krispy Cremes – coffee/water at 7:15am. We will gather to the cars at 8:10am and leave at 8:15am sharp with help from KPD. Mickey will continue to lead us to Hermann!!

George,
Aka Superchief

P.S. Not to confuse the road names… Lindberg…Lindbergh is known as Kirkwood Road, when in Kirkwood City Limits…fyi

My guess is 20 to 30 cars?? Could be more, if some drive up from Hermann, to drive back to Hermann.

Ok sounds like people are meeting at the Baymont Inn, 136 Regency Park, O'Fallon IL at 6:30pm to go out to dinner...before the track. Mickey...is there any place near by that we could sit outside for dinner and keep an eye on the cars while sipping on a cold beverage? Your thoughts??

Wouldn't worry about the cars coming FROM Hermann on Sat Morning... Should all be pre-registered from Fri Night... We'll just line up in the "10 Items or Less" lane when we get back into town :shift:

I don't know of any outdoor places to eat only one called Dandy Inn for fish and chicken and such, older historic place not far , I would suggest earlier to meet like 5:00 at the lobby and then eat because it's friday night and places fill up quick and would like to be in line at track no later than 7:00, everyone is tlaking about the madness and weather is going to be great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll be at the lobby at 5 till everyone who want to eat arrives, 618-514-5504, Later Mickey
