I just received a very disturbing email and want to set the record straight!
The email that was sent was:

“Someone down here in Texas is saying that the upcoming Nevada open has been cancelled. Is there any truth to that? “

There is no truth to this at all!
The Silver State Classic Challenge, Inc. has been around for 22 years and will continue.
Our event dates are:
May 14 – 17, 2009 (Nevada Open Road Challenge)
Sept. 17 – 20, 2009 (Silver State Classic Challenge)
We are still taking entries for the event next week and anyone wishing to enter can contact me.
I would appreciate it if you could spread the word as I don’t know who is spreading the rumors or how it can be corrected.

Change that. Car wasn't ready for the May race. It'll be ready for Unlimited classification after this upcoming winter.

GS 1: Sept 2009 Silver State.
GS2: March 2010 Big Bend Open Road Race
GS3: May 2010 Silver State
GS4: Sept 2010 Silver State
GS5: March 2011 Big Bend Open Road Race
SS1: May 2011 Silver State
SS2: Sept 2011 Silver State
Goal: Unlimited 2012.

I'm planning on heading to Nevada for this. Whether I run a car or not, I'm undecided. It ought to be fun either way.

1st place GS1 130mph average/165mph tech...averaged 129.9918mph. :yahoo:
