Steering Wheel Emblem?

I bought a nice used rim blow steering wheel for my '69 Mach 1 project and it has a Shelby emblem in it, it's made of some type of metal not plastic. is there any way to know if this is original or a repop? I need the Mustang one but I'm not sure if it's something any good or just junk.
