I am wondering who is interested in eating brunch at Stoney Knob Cafe on a Sunday and driving up to Mt. Mitchell ?

Stoney Knob to Mt Michell google map

It is approximately a 32 mile drive to the top with several overlooks and could take an hour to get there, Mt Mitchell is the highest point west of the Mississippi in the continental United States at 6684 feet.

Thanks
Andrew

Would love to make that trip with you--But living in Watertown, WI makes it way out of range for me.

Be sure to post a trip report and some photos.

Looks like a really nice drive. Some day, I hope, but not right away.

For "west", read "east", right?
