Just curious.....Is there any interest for us to bring a drum or 2 of 101 unleaded fuel to Tulsa as only 91 Octane is available there? I'm trailering mine so I will have plenty but if there is enough interest we have room on the trailer for a drum if needed. It's 9.99 a gallon but you could mix it with the 91 for more octane. Just post here if you want some.

Gary,

They sold 100 or 101 at the track last year. I think it was around 10 bucks a gallon.

Hallett usually sells 93, 104 and 114; IIRC. Last year they were out of 93...............and 114 is leaded.

I've personally found only a 5-8 HP difference between 91 and 93 tunes and on a road course it's not worth the extra dough. So I usually bring an extra 15 gal of 91 octane each day with me.

But I'm sure that plenty of people will not think ahead or not have the ability to bring extra gas to the track. The extra $ for gas on site is pretty steep, so............."bring it if you got it" :D

There was a post on Who's Going To Tulsa that Shell, Fina, Valero, Sam's Club and Walmart had 93 octaine and this is not true. I mapped out all these stations and just called several and 91 octaine is the highest any of them carry.....

I'll be bringing a full tank of 94 in the car for Hallett and 5 gallons of 109 and a tuner for the dragstrip. Should get me through the weekend.

According to the guys in the local Tulsa mustang club, only one station there has 93 octane.

From their forum: "okmulgee oklahoma creek travel plaza im told has some. the one north of town on hwy 75"

FYI: I read an article posted about Shell 93 that was posted on bobistheoilguy where someone tested it in the lab on an HPLC and it was actually 97 octane! All I know is that is some good stuff here in Indiana. Both of my cars love it!
