Just got back from Mid-America Meet. Been going for close to 15 years and this year was indeed a scorcher. I won 1st place in the Shelby Modified class and to top it off during the banquet I won what Baer wrote down as " Any Front or Rear Brake System for Mustang or Shelby" I just made the call on a Shelby 6P Extreme System as reccomended by Gary Patterson and wating for the call back as they asked me to fax them what I was given. This is sooooo cool.

Gary

VERY COOL. I bought the CS6 Plus front brakes and fried out a set of pads and trashed my left rotor at Hallett, the brakes only had 400 miles on them. I wish I had spent the extra $2,000 more for the CS6 extreme.

Baer warrantied them so its all good I just have to wait a week for the rotor to arrive. You won the grand prize IMO, who could ask for anything more than $4000 brakes. COngrats I bet you are so freaking happy.

Hi Gary,

I am curious what brakes do you have on your car currently?

I seen you run up to the stage to get your certificate for the brakes I dont think I ever seen anybody run that fast ever.

The coolest part of your story is that you had been coming to Tulsa for the last 15 years

Thanks Dave.....Hope Donna is doing better. Maybe she can make it next year and hopefully it won't be quite as hot. The free gift was a 50th anniversary coffe mug for Shelby's win at Lemans.

Gary, we got quite a scare but she is doing a lot better with lots of rest, not easy for her!

She was more disappointed at missing Tulsa than I was at driving home, you can be sure we will be registering for next year as soon as it opens.... :mail:

Any of the Plano gang interested in getting together somewhere this weekend, or are you all burned out!

Cheers, D&D

Have to give a big Kudos to Baer Brakes for their donation to Mid America Ford and Shelby Meet. Got the 6 Piston Extremes in and mounted and went ahead and orderd the plus2 eradispeed rotors for the back to match the front rotors. While the brakes were being installed the tech told me I had a nail in my right rear so Saturday I went to Discount Tire to take care of it. Struck up a conversation with another Mustang enthusiast and he asked about my Brembos and what it would take to buy them. Gave him my phone number and within an hour he called back and wanted them right now. I gave him the front Brembos, Rotors, lines, rear rotors and all for $500.00. It happened so fast I could not get over it.

So now my car has basically about a $4400.00 Brake system courtesy of Baer Brakes.
Thank You...Thank You....Thank You :happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet:
