- 2006 Shelby GT-H, #286, located in Albuquerque
-One of 500 GT-H coupes produced for Hertz, most have long since been locked away by collectors and are very difficult to find today.
- Although Shelby GT-500s are currently in production, the 2006 GT-H was the first “Next Generation” Shelby Mustang produced after 36 years, this is the 286th one produced of the 1000s (to include GTs) that have followed.
- All original except windows tinted, replacement tires, replacement hood pins for the ones that were badly tarnished (I kept the originals).
- 27,XXX miles
- Exterior has minor scratches consistent with usage. Center stripes recently replaced, lower panel stripes are in excellent condition. Elected to continue center stripe onto chin spoiler (see photo) which can be easily removed
- Interior in excellent condition
- Sale includes:
- All Hertz and Shelby documentation,
- Carroll Shelby autographed 1:18th GT-H diecast with #286 included in autograph by Carroll, includes COA (very rare for Shelby to add car # to autograph)
- Carroll Shelby autographed GT-H art poster with #286 included in Carroll’s autograph with COA
- New, in the box hard-to find unused Hertz Sirius Satellite Radio control head (in my opinion only thing interior needs to be perfect!)
- Hertz advertising
- #286 underhood Vin Plate 2’ x 4’ Banner
I will send any serious buyer more photos and info as requested. I will also send digital photos of any surface as requested.
As stated new Mustang project car forces the sale of this rare collectible. Although this could be a driver car, I think the car will have greater value if stored or shown at local/regional/national shows which is what we’ve been doing with the car. Took second in 2006 category at 45th Mustang Birthday Bash in Albuquerque and car was filmed by Ford Motor company crew during Albuquerque leg of Mustangs Across America.
You can send me an email at deepbluepics@yahoo.com requesting further info. The price is open to a reasonable offer from a serious buyer.
$32,000 OBO.
