Any word on the Shelby GR-1??

saw a show on the prototyping of the Ford Shelby GR-1 and that is one beautiful car...
anyone know if or when it will make it to production???

Well, the GR-1 was on the auto show circuit a few years ago and my guess is you saw an old program.
Haven't seen or heard much about it since the concept made it's rounds.

Our real cats are Shelby, Saleen and Roush. Can you guess what we named this shiny, reflective one?

Wow that's an amazing looking build. Sure wish they would have produced a few of those.

The GR1 was the replacement for the Ford GT, however, the NHTSA changed crash testing and it didn't qualify, so it was tabled.

I saw that show too - on Speed I think last weekend. It was a good documentary and the photo shoot at the end was awesome.

Yes, you are absolutly correct because I saw the car at the javits center a few years ago. It's definatly an old program.

But it is still an awesome car. :happy feet:
