Shelby Dakota or 1979 Lil Red Express Truck Which one is worth more?

I am also looking at a 1979 Dodge Lil Red Express truck as a project also. I know that they were only built in 1978 & 1979 and that the Shelby Dakota was only 1989, so which one might be more fun, a head turner and more valuable in the future? Thanks, Bob

Realistically I would say the LRE. If you decide to add an LRE to your stable I would go with the 1978 model. 1978 LRE has the more classic round headlamps and more importantly no catalytic converters.
The 1979 LRE has cats and the less handsome rectangle headlights.
Just my opinion.
