Looks nice in the pics but two things come to mind. Rust and the mileage.

27 year old Ohio vehicles without rust is pretty rare. Seller claims there was no rust ever but every inch of the Page has been painted including the underside. If it was me I would have taken photos of the underside before I over restored the car by painting it glossy black underneath. Even if they forgot to take pics before the restoration why no current pics showing underneath the car. Why no pics of the floorboards when the carpet was replaced?

The second item is the mileage. The Rampage almost seems it was over restored for only having 82k miles. Remember these cars only have 5 digit odometers meaning that they roll over back to zero at 100k miles. If I was trying to sell a Rampage for almost $13,000 dollars I would sure be showing some sort of proof of the mileage even if it was just a CarFax report.

Using the info the seller provided this Rampage has only driven around 250 miles a month which makes me wonder why it had to have such an extensive restoration.

Again it looks to be a nice car from the pics but for $13,000 the seller would be better off talking more about this cars history then comparing it to 1955-57 Chevy Belairs and Honda Fit's. And no I do not believe the sellers statement that this Rampage can meet or beat the Honda's MPG.

We have a Team Shelby member that has a Rampage that he swapped a 16valve turbo motor into. He also installed a complete Shelby interior along with a pair of Subaru Brat off-road seats in the bed.

Rampages are fun little trucks. Too bad they weren't around long enough to get a turbo motor from the factory.

Nice rampage. Steve believe me there are completely rust free cars in the Midwest. You saw what shape that CSX-T that was bought for the museum was in? That one came from IA. Typically performance cars are stored for 8 months out of the year in the snow belt. You sun belt guys should come to some shows in the Midwest sometime. There are some of the cleanest lowest mileage muscle cars on the planet sitting in peoples temp. controlled garages. Obviously that can happen anywhere in the country, not just the snowbelt.

Couple comments you made I feel the need to comment on. When is the last time you saw a pic of carpet side of floorboards listed in a car for sale ad? I restored a 86 GLHS at 30K because I couldn't live with it's factory and Whittier shortcomings. The weak engine/ tranny internals, poor 80's paint, engine compartment detail and performance woes, just had to be corrected if I were to enjoy the car. So the mileage comment doesn't cut it with me.

Wish the seller good luck trying to get $13K for it. IMO, that car will sit for a long time before someone bites on that price. I think that 8k 85 SC went unsold on ebay several times for the $13K asking price, although it did receive a $10K bid, which was declined.

MasiMan, welcome to the Team Shelby forums. Glad you found us.

I don't expect anyone to tear up a low mileage car just to show pics of underneath the carpet BUT if someone is over restoring a car, like this seller, and one of the items he has replaced is the carpet why not take a quick photo while the interior is out of the car.

We all pretty much agree his price is on the high side but isn't the seller touting the no rust as one reason the Page is worth his asking price?

I understand your comment about your GLHS but you would have to agree there is a big difference between a GLHS and a Rampage concerning collectibility. I can understand restoring/cleaning up a GLHS at 30k miles, a run of the mill 1982 Rampage is another story. At least in my opinion.

We'll know for sure if the Rampage sells at that price.

So now that you're on Team Shelby how about starting a new thread or two? Lots of Ford enthusiasts here who enjoy reading about the Dodge years.
