Gee no bids at $225,000 RESERVE NOT MET

Makes you wonder if sellers actually believe what they write.........

This is an outstanding price considering the #1 CAR sold for $600,000 at the Barrett Jackson.

Very odd. Why would #2 even have those reproduction Cobra badges on it????? The prototypes had regular GT badges on them and then they switched to the SGT Powered By Ford badges around the '06 SEMA show. IMO, for that kind of money there should be more pics, including the dash plaque. Also, why have a PR pic of the the prototype SGT?

If my memory serves me correctly, CSM#2 was offered with car #1 @MSRP. And if Ron Pratt bought #2, I find it hard to believe that he would be selling it on E-Bay. But anything is possible. Those badges are definitely not correct.

Your memory does serve you right....unless Ron took a pass...

I don't believe it is #2...or at least production #2. The seller would have to provide a lot more pictures (of the actual car and plate number) to even start to convince me that it is even a SGT.

Just need to have Roger run the VIN number in the Registry to see what CSM # belongs to it...

To support the conspiracy theory, I know someone who had at one time in his possesion the #2 SGT proto center dash plaque and he sold it. Where abouts unknown..............till now. Would explain lack of pics and wierdo PBF badges.

Ford would not sell me a pair of PBF badges unless I proved damage to orig set and vin verification. I wanted to make my wife some ear rings : )

Mike

Chris I'll see you at the pier : )

Little know fact is that #1 and #2 did have the metal side PBF badges.

That sounds familiar to me and if I recall R.P. did not purchase #002 at least for himself. Perhaps he did purchase #002 but with the intent it was going to go to someone else. Just a guess.

I don't think fake. Roger answered the badge issue. I think the seller, probably a consignment outfit, under estimated what is needed for online sales and grossly over estimated the effect of Mr. Pratt's donation purchase for the first two.

If I remember correctly, Mr. Pratt was ready to purchase #1 for $560 and only raised his bid to $600K when the Ford guy threw in #2 at MSRP. And it was all just to match his winning bid of the 1st 2007 Shely GT500 the year before. The auction market really didn't support the $600K for the Shelby GT. Again, if I remember correctly Mr. Pratt raised in his own bid from around $140K.

I don't think it's a fake, but we do need more pictures if we are going to pay that much money.

Well I guess its time to no longer erase the BJ auctions from the DVR. Anyone still have it on their DVR?

The part where RP is bidding on #001. We could then verify what was said about #002.

Silly me, delete the BJ auctions but I still have the complete Knight Rider series :P

Thats until I find time to watch the series and then delete it will go.

Steve
