How many of each Shelby GT500 were built in the 60's/70's?

How many per year?

Were they 'all' built in Nevada or did Ford build some of them?

Also, how many Mustangs were built 'total' in 1967. (Ford and Shelby)

Important info I need, I'm sure someone knows this stuff. :unsure:

What I have so far...

Shelby's ...

1967 = 2048

1968 = 1542

1969 = 1872

1970 = 789

I think this is a shame.

No one on a Shelby site knows how many original Shelbys were produced and when? :banghead:

So that makes 13,805 GT350 and GT500's in the 60's-70's.

Were these all produced at Shelby?

To repond to one question on the first post,

NONE were built in Nevada,

The first 3 years, 65, 66, 67 were completed at the LAX facility, I believe majority if not all of the cars came from the Ford plant in San Jose.

From 68 on they went to A.O. Smith in Michigan for completion, ALL cars arrivng from Metuchen NJ

This is all cars in general, I did not differentiate between GT-350's and GT-500's

Ken, check out the difference from your numbers, and mine. Mine are out of The Shelby Regestry 1997, bit of a difference.

Yeah I see that. Well I'm not sure which is correct obviously.
The book I have is a 350 page book of #'s on every Mustang built, including all of the Shelbys. It's written by Mike Mueller, licensed by Ford, published in 2007.

This info is from my Marti Report
472,209 1967 Mustangs
3,223 wer Shelby Fastbacks. Of them
1174 were GT-350's of which
353 came with Automatic Transmissions
So that would make 2049 GT-500's and 1,174 GT-350's
