A few questions??

1. Does the FRPP strut tower brace fit with the new FRPP Whipple 2.9L SC?

2. Have any SS owners change out the Shelby/FRPP CAI to the the JLT CF CAI setup?

3. Can the new FRPP Whipple 2.9L SC be polished on the SS package? Previously, SS owners could only get the 725HP Kenne Bell SC polished.

4. Does the new FRPP Whipple 2.9L SC come with a new throttle body on the SS package?
- What size is the factory GT500 throttle body?

5. Does the new FRPP Whipple 2.9L SC have any special SHELBY SS badging like the 725HP Kenne Bell?

The ford performance parts website just updated their product listings with the 2.9 and they have a polished version also. I guess that's not avail on the ss's though

I asked Roger @ SAI. on 8-28-09.

He said yes the FRPP strut tower brace - FRPP PN M-2007-FR3SVT fits on the 2.9L SC

He also stated that all NEW arriving GT500's to SAI would have the option to choose the new
FRPP Whipple 2.9L SC on the SS package. 2007. 2008. 2009. models.

On Thursday 8-24-09.

After 2 years, I finally dropped off my 08 GT500 vert at SAI for the SS package.

I met with Roger. While going over the paperwork, options, my SS order details. He stated that ALL new arriving GT500's
to SAI would have the option to choose the new FRPP Whipple 2.9L SC on the SS package.
including 2007. 2008. 2009. models.

Roger said that SAI engineers have been testing the new FRPP Whipple 2.9L for months.

I believe Whipple released the new 2.9L SC this year mid-March 2009 and they beta tested the SC on the 5.4L for over a year.

Someone like ... Dustin @ Whipple should validate this POST.

Roger said the new FRPP Whipple 2.9L works with the stock 60mm twin bore SVT throttle body for the 630HP SS package.

He also said that SAI has tested the FRPP CJ, M-9926-CJ, throttle body with the 2.9L Whipple SC.
At this time, SAI engineers have had issues properly tuning and does NOT recommend.
