Wow. $50k for a clone, a 1/4 million for a "Nut and bolt restoration" that has a glaringly incorrect steering wheel. I guess I'm going to have to up the estimates on what '68 KRs are worth!

The steering wheel has a plastic cover over it. Kinda like what you get when you order and take delivery of a new car. That car looks fantastic I wish my pockets could go that deep.

The car has what appears to be a 1967 steering wheel - yes, covered in plastic, but definitely not the correct steering wheel for a '68 KR. Take a look at the 10th picture in this auction for a correct '68 GT500KR steering wheel.

Nothing wrong with putting whatever steering wheel you want on your car, of course, but I would expect a "nut and bolt restoration" to use correct parts, especially such an obvious part as the steering wheel, and especially when asking almost a 1/4 million dollars. Interestingly enough, the other KR on eBay right now also has a '67 steering wheel, which the seller actually mentions in the ad.

The first add is not a 67 GT350 or GT500 Shelby steering wheel either I not sure what it is from but not a 67. The second add is a 67 steering wheel. I would think for that price it needs to be all correct.

I've got the same steering wheel on my '68KR...I think I'll undercut them a grand and get 224k for my car

FYI, it is NOT a '67 wheel

BTW, stock '68 steering wheels are BRUTALLY UGLY, thats why I went with same wheel that I bought from Tony Branda 15 years ago for about 150 bucks...it is MotoLita wheel and sell for just under 400 now...

But, waaayyy better than the pedestrian stock unit...

The problem I have with that wheel is...every Ford they made that year had exactly the same thing (accept for the center emblem), and you can't get any less sporty than Grannys Galaxie steering wheel

Here is a pic of my actual car....like you say though, to each his own (that being said, I do have the original safely wrapped in a towel, in my garage cabinet)
