Both my previous GT500's called for 6.5 qts of oil when servicing the engine. The KR suplement calls for 6.0 qts. Why? :headscratch: Isn't this the very same engine?

Just curious.

Perhaps they used a new dipstick (with new handle attached) with the conversion?

A new dipstick wouldn't change the required 6.5 qt needed to change the oil & filter. I'm sure there is a typo in the SMM.

Yes it sure could, give me yours and I'll make it take 15 quarts to the full mark.

Perhaps they wanted the oil level lower to prevent excessive windage at over 1G on the skidpad or track.

You are possibly correct about Shelby setting the "Full" mark with only 6 qts in the system?

Bump, were you able to verify that the KR should only use 6 qts of oil?
