Moving along on completion! Items off the check list:
Dash assembly
Parking brake assembly
Pedal box assembly
Brake lines - front

Rear brakes are not complete due to missing tabs that were not welded to frame at SAI...the tabs are where the bulkhead fittings go. The tabs can be seen on the pics of the frame of CSX7076...missing on CSX7070!
Bought new tabs at Good Guys show in KC...will get them welded on and finish the brake lines!

See pics attached!

Here are pics of the master cylinders and lines run to front.

Rear brake lines are a bit more problematic...missing tabs for bulk head fittings! ARGH!

Dash looks very clean, I like it. Not much room down in that foot box..........hope you don't have big feet :hysterical: .

Do you have the engine ready?

Yea it is a little tight. I am 5'9" 175 so fitting into the FIA will be a breeze. I just hope I can reach the pedals! LOL

Engine is a 5.0 roller XXX block forged pistons and rods. Stock crank and E303 cam (I will be changing this) to something a bit more shall I say "lumpy".

CSX7070 Drive Train design.....

Engine 1995 5.0L (disguised to look like a 289) with Webers
Trans 1965 top loader 4 speed
Rear 3.55:1 gears

Estimated HP - 375 @ 5,500 rpm

Oh man will it be snug for me with 6'2" at 230 lbs :censored: .

Sounds like a very nice set up. I look forward to more pics.

Mine is a 427 and I tried on a Superformance - I didn't fit - not enough clearance to the steering wheel to the lap. The CSX fits perfect. One of the odd things about Cobras is the foot boxes and pedals are slightly offset to the left, but when you are in it, you don't feel it at all. There is very little spacing between the pedals. I keep my big toe on each clutch and brake and don't interfere any more. Dirving shoes would help. Sneakers work too.

Looking forward to "snuggling" into the competition seat, turning the ignition, maker her roar and piss off all the neighbors! 6:3 am Sunday morning...hehehehehe

Latest update...

Took Monday off (or part of it) to get the rear brake lines hooked up. Had the missing tabs welded on, cleaned it up and put the brake fittings in. Hooked up all lines! FINALLY!

Started putting on the front inner fender panel to mark position of brake line hole and where to mount reservoirs for MC's...

Ready to put the fuel cell back in!

PROGRESS!

Great work being done in your garage. When do you think she'll be road ready?
